The Entity is one of the most horrifying movies I have had ever seen. This movie, staring Barbara Hershey was filmed in the 1980s and it surely scared millions of people around the world. Based on a true story, this film is definitely one of the scariest of all time. What makes this film one of the best of it is kind is that it is based on a true story, a story that is as chilling and terrifying as the movie itself.
An evil entity takes control of a young womans life to the point of physically and sexually abused her. It is been said that her case is one of the most studied and talked among the paranormal community.

- When Ghosts Attack
- For Carla Moran, a single mother with four children living in California in the mid-1970s, nothing seemed random about the repeated and apparently violent attacks that, like Mary's, felt like rape. Carla sought psychiatric counseling and books on the subject, and while in a bookstore, she happened to meet Kerry Gaynor and Barry Taff, two parapsychologists specializing in haunted-house and poltergeist cases. Gaynor and Taff volunteered to investigate Carla's case. Her story was over dramatized in the 1982 movie The Entity and a book of the same name. Neither treatment was completely factual.

- The events as seen in the movie The Entity, also happened to another girl, in town (Brossard) just south of Montreal, Canada. Never published or written about but witnessed by many, one guy had his arm broken in her house by this Entity. It followed her for years and began around age 11 in 1978. Most people evolved with her or stayed in the house do not wish to discuss the events.

- This was one of the first horror movies to realy scare the hell out of me , I was 11 or 12 i think, this and the Exorcist , when you see the Impressions left on Carla's body by the entity. That realy gives you the creeps, The Entity kind of gets overlooked on great horror movie lists, but it is a great movie.

- This is a GREAT horror movie. The best ones are those that are based on actual events and don't overdo the special effects.
Halloween is right around the corner. If you haven't seen The Entity, slap yourself and go watch it!
