An SEO Contest for Real Estate Agents

Time to have a little fun and learning with a contest on trying to rank high for the term "greatest real estate agent in the world". I know, at first read you might think this is silly and to some, I'm sure that it is. However, there is a lot to be gained and learned from this process and I believe that all of my current and future clients will be better off for it. I will be too.

An Update

This contest has brought lots of people out of the woodwork and I suspect that more will join in. It's going to be lots of fun learning what some of the other in the contest are doing because in the end, we can take what we learn and apply the good (read white hat) techniques to help ourselves and improve our business.

The next update for me and the contest is that I went from first place to not being indexed. It should be temporary, but, I don't like the way it looks. Hopefully it will be back in a couple of days to where it was before, 1st place!

Well, I'm not back at #1 - I'm at #3 so we'll have more work to do...

What's at Stake

and why it's worth entering...

What's at stake is a website valued at almost $5,000, some great content offered and written for that new website and a learning experience in the world of online marketing, or,SEM. My entry can be found on my blog here : Real Estate Blog and I will update that entry weekly with all of my efforts to make that page rank higher than the other contestants.

This has become an unbelievably viral contest and there's no telling how many people have now inered the contest. So far it looks like there are about 15 viable candidates and, at least for now, I am one of them. It's far too early to tell, but, it will be fun if your into this sort of thing.

An update to the contest for me. I have learned what I wanted and have decided to focus my efforts back on my website. With that - I now cast my vote for Eric Blackwell.

An Update

It looks like this contest is really starting to take off...Lots of people are beginning to enter and the competition is very stiff. I just hope that I can stay close to the top.
