The Littlest Pet Shop Ferret joins the Tea Party

The paw print invitations went out, and Maggie realized she simply had to have the Littlest Pet Shop Ferret in attendance. If cow, crab, and dog were there, then the ferret must simply come too.
Alas, there were only three days to locate Mr. Ferret and get him to the party on time; or else I would never hear the end of it. Heck, that's what the Internet is for.
Do I hire a pet detective? File a missing person's report? Or call CSI? "Hello, I'm looking for a ferret, he's about two inches long and completely inanimate, can you help?"

No, I go to my trusty computer and do a google search for "the littlest pet shop ferret" and like magic there he is, or is he. Not in stock was a common refrain. I eventually found one, and it only cost me twelve dollars. I had it shipped to me and the little fellow arrived in three days. Which, was just in time for Maggie's Tea Party. Yes, another disaster averted by super dad.

For starters, VIP stands for "Virtual Interactive Pet". You get to play with it online. The Littlest Pet Shop VIP's are cuddly stuffed animals that come with a secret code on their collar. After you purchase the stuffed animal, you log on to LittlestPetShop.com, create an account, and register your secret code. Now your cute stuffed animal has come life online.

The games are fun for older kids, yet simple enough for younger children to have success with.

When you play a game you earn virtual dollars so your pet can go shopping. As of now the shops include:

* Supermart (here you can buy food to feed your pet),
* Pet Boutique (purchase the latest clothing and accessories for your pet), and
* Department Store (selling furnishings for your pet's home).

These shops are located in the Village area of the Littlest Pet Shop VIP world. The VIP world is divided into six areas:

* Village,
* Get Better Center
* Playground
* Adoption Center
* Forest and
* Your House

Each area has lots of activities to do. Navigating around the Littlest Pet Shop VIP world is easy. At the bottom of the screen there are icons to help you during your visit. There is an interactive map that shows you where you are and allows you to jump from place to place. There is also an icon with a list of the shops and games, so you can click to go directly to any activity.

Some of you may not be aware of some of the great little animals that can join in the fun. I have provided some images of the littlest pet shop ferret and a few of his possible friends. Pay attention to the hermit crab because he appears very stress free. He probably doesn't have a house mortgage. I think it's because of his lifestyle choices. I could learn something from him.
