The Lonely Little Tree is a simple yet touching story about a tiny oak that began growing all alone somewhere in a meadow, away from all the other trees.
It had no one to learn from and its only friends are the wind, sky, clouds, moon and stars. The wisdom of the wind helps Lonely Little Tree to grow up with understanding that 'life is the grandest adventure of all' and embrace its own existence.
The storyline follows natural cycles in life and in so doing tells more than a few eternal truths, easy to understand and appropriate for all ages.
This little gem in a form of a book belongs to every night stand, every purse, every student's backpack and every suit's pocket. You don't know how much you're missing if you haven't read it yet.

I used to like them, but now I just think they're too saccharinely sweet. I prefer a good gritty story with a diverse range of believably characters.

Great gift for any occasion

Amazon customer reviews:
* "I finished Grown Men in a few days. This is a fast and fantastic read. Can't wait for more from the author!"
* "I recently read the remarkable debut novel, Grown Men, by S.M. Mawe. The author takes the reader to a combat zone where the weapons of choice are tennis racquets, athletic prowess, and well-honed mental skills. Mawe does not rely on exotic settings, gratuitous sex, violence, or complicated plot to hold the attention..."
Dandelion: The Extraordinary Life of a Misfit

Amazon customer reviews:
* "In my opinion this book is something every child should read, and every child who didn't read it as a child should read it as soon as possible. Horse enthusiasts will love the simple but captivating story, and I think young and old "girls" may benefit the most, due to the way our society seems to limit their value sometimes based on the physical aspect only, but I wouldn't necessarily limit it to females. Aspects of adventure, spirituality, self esteem and inspiration for getting excited about life in general all wrapped up in a beautifully told tale that is fun in the telling and touches your soul."
* "I read DANDELION on a cross country flight. I opened the book and before I knew it, we were landing. If you want a story that captivates and uplifts you - this is it! I wholeheartedly recommend this delicious adventure!"
How Mom Got a Life

Amazon customer reviews:
* "This is an inspiring story of "Thoughts Become Things". It is an easy read and helped me to think about some of my thoughts diferently. I am working on "thinking the good ones" (thoughts) and this book inspired me even more to do so..."
* "For those who might enjoy absorbing and learning about a new, or old, theory in the form of a novel this is the perfect one. Ms. Mawe's son, Mike Dooley, is one of my favorite lecturers and now his Mom is another. We need more novels from Ms. Mawe. I have enjoyed every one that I have had the pleasure to read. A winner."
* "This book was so good I had to read the whole book in 1 sitting. It was interesting I just had to find out how it ended. It was well written."

Reader's review
You can read it to your child as a bedtime story or give it as a gift to a friend who is going through a hard time.
Every time you read it you will glean another truth or a little more illumination.
You can read it literally or pick out all the symbols and parallels that run to the life you live.
This book could have been a favorite Native American tale passed orally to each new generation by a blazing fire, or your family's heirloom. This is a classic for all ages and for all times.
I hope you enjoy this little big story as much as I did and that your branches and roots extend as far and wide as you would like them to.
With hope and love,
Doroteja P.
