The Lost Symbol Was Released On September 16th, 2009

The Lost Symbol must surely be one of the most eagerly anticipated books of 2009. Random House is printing a record five million copies of the book. I am certain it will also become one of the most gifted books because it is already on my list as a gift idea for several people in my immediate family as well as for certain members of my extended family. That is assuming, of course, that it receives good reviews.

Few details are available about the actual story itself right now but it is said to follow Robert Langdon over an exciting 12-hour period in a new and unexpected location. Sonny Mehta, of Knopf Doubleday Publishing Group, had the following to say about the upcoming book. "The Lost Symbol is a brilliant and compelling thriller. Dan Brown's prodigious talent for storytelling, infused with history, codes and intrigue, is on full display in this new book...well worth the wait."

My review of The Lost Symbol will appear here as soon as I can get my hands on and read the book. In the meantime, I hope you'll enjoy reading some of the advance information and following some of the great links that I can find to share with you about this new and exciting book.

Amazon Customer Reviews

"Rogak does a fine job of describing the life and work of Dan Brown and keeps things moving, not unlike the writing style of Brown himself." ~~ Max Funkhammer, California

"I was most fascinated by the planning process that went into The Da Vinci Code. Brown and his wife carefully crafted a plotline of sex and religion that was sure to get the press salivating. It worked and the media frenzy that followed saved this exciting story-teller from near obscurity." ~~ James E. Orr

"Extremely well done, very thorough, and a truly fair portrayal of a highly controversial and private man. Kudos to Rogak for digging out the facts." ~~ David W. Wood, New Hampshire
