in reply to bobby Irrationality can take over when the brain goes into the panic state, when in this state it's too late! That's why the one move technique is so important it stops panic right when it starts. Also, a healthy lifestyle is really, really important. Guys this stuff works, but you have to work at it. Meditation, diet, exercise, therapy...they all work. But, you have to stay consistent.

I have been taking Buspar for just over 8 months and I take 60-75 mg a day, depending on the day. I take for panic attacks associated with PTSD. I have had no side effects from this, but I do know when I have missed a dose, so when I do come off this I do expect a withdrawal period but for now it has helped me regain a normal life. I take this with a few other medicines such as Celexa, Wellbutrin, Trazadone and seroqeul. This really works.
