The story of Rowf and Sniffer, two dogs who escape a horribly cruel animal research station in England. The Plague Dogs novel was written by Richard Adams, a British author, and published in the UK in 1977.
The animated movie was released in 1982. Although this is a cartoon it is not suitable for smaller children due to scenes with disturbing animal cruelty.
