The Rocket Spanish Course

A personal review of the The Rocket Spanish Course

My first attempt at learning how to speak Spanish was a night school class here in Miami. It was for beginners and cost $300 consisting of an eight week course held every Thursday night for 2 and a half hours.

The first problem I had was that it had been 12 years since I was in a classroom and getting into the right mindset was proving difficult.

The second problem was that I might not be in the mood to learn because of outside influences. What if I have had a bad day at work or an argument with someone etc? I was worried this could made the class heavy going.

Perhaps the biggest problem I had with trying to learn Spanish at a night class though was that I was very self conscious when we did any pronunciation and grammar exercises. I felt awkward and was always scared of saying something wrong.

Financially too, the classes were a bit of a burden, specially as my Spanish wasn't getting anywhere after 2 lessons. Once this course was finished I had 2 other courses to do (intermediate and advanced) to get me to the level I wanted and both these courses again cost $300 each.

With my Spanish going nowhere but my feet itching to start traveling Latin America, I decided I needed some way of learning during the rest of the week.

I had looked at the Rocket Spanish course before but had been put off by the price tag and the fact I would have to wait a couple of weeks for delivery. Now though, they were offering th full course in a download version and the price had dropped dramatically as a result.

What Did I Get With The Rocket Spanish Course?

The main part of the learning process are the 11 hours worth of interactive audio. What I liked about these were that they are broken down into 20 minute lessons which makes them quick and easy to learn.

You can do the lessons online in the members area or you can download them to your computer. Personally, I downloaded a few at a time to my ipod so I could do the lessons while i was on the move.

The course also includes software that tests your memory in Spanish and also uses interactive grammar lessons.

Being able to learn at my own pace was a major plus for me and because the Rocket Spanish course teaches you so quickly you find it hard to actually stop the lessons for a break.

I learnt more Spanish in the first hour than I had in the 2 lessons I had done at night school, it really is amazing how quickly it teaches you.

In fact, the Rocket Spanish course is so successful at speed teaching that it comes with a full 8 week money back guarantee.

If I had continued at night school, I was looking at a time scale of 24 weeks to reach a decent level and a total cost of $900.

By doing the Rocket Spanish course I was holding full blown conversations with Latin American folk in just 8 weeks and was able to bring my travel plans forward by a whole year. Best of all, the cost was less than $100.

I can't recommend this course highly enough. Click here for full details and you will be speaking español within the hour.

Spanish Language Software

Learn Spanish software will have you speaking Spanish in A Few Days

Giving your career the edge with some Spanish language software can make a big difference to your future prospects. In some parts of America, whether you can speak Spanish or not is the first thing a prospective employee looks for on a resume. As well as your career prospects being improved, so will your social life and perhaps your horizons will be broadened with the odd trip to Latin America.

No matter what your strong points are or what your weak points are, when it comes to learn Spanish software, you will find it the best way to learn Spanish. Spanish language software programs like The Rocket Spanish Course are a great way to learn the language because you can learn at your own pace and in the privacy of your own home. Some people find going back to the classroom a little intimidating and if that's you, then Spanish language software will be ideal for you.

They say that English is the hardest language to learn, so be thankful that it is not English language learning software you are looking for. It is important to understand though that the Spanish language is not learned just by Spanish language software. Learn Spanish software is a great start of course but what will improve you the the most is how you put your Spanish words to use in the practical world. If you never have any reason to use the language, the Spanish that you have learned so far will probably not be remembered very long at all and there is no use having a language in your head that you do not plan on putting to use.

You can purchase Spanish language software from just about any book or cultural store but I recommend you purchase a downloadable course as it is much cheaper than buying a hard copy. The Rocket Spanish course is a good mixture of software and audio tuition that had me speaking fluent Spanish in just 8 weeks. In fact, it has everyone speaking Spanish in 8 weeks or you get your money back with their no quibble guarantee.

How To Learn Spanish With An Online Spanish Course

Many people want to learn Spanish but are not sure which is the method of learning best suited to them. After I had been to a couple of night school classes, I found it was not for me and gave an online course a try, which I found far better suited me.

Here are the main reasons I decided how to learn Spanish with an online Spanish course.

1. I could spend time learning Spanish when I was in the mood to study and not just once a week for 2 hours.

2. I could learn at my own pace rather than struggle to keep up with the quickest in the class or be held back by the slowest.

3. Taking an online course was far cheaper than night classes.

How to learn Spanish online.

The online Spanish course I did revolved around the audio recording lessons. These were short twenty minute lessons that were fun, easy to learn and more importantly, easily remembered.

Because they didn't take long to do I found myself flying through the lessons and before you new it, you had done 3 or 4 lessons in 1 sitting. The lessons could be done online in a members area or if you preferred, you can download them and do them offline.

The course also included some software that helped with various stages of my Spanish tuition. There was software for helping with Spanish grammar, helping to memorize Spanish and even software that trained you to think in Spanish.

You will need to discipline yourself to set some time to one side for study. The way I did it was to set myself a minimum of 3 hourly periods devoted to study time. If I had had a bad day at work or was just not feeling up to study then I would simply re-arrange that period for a different time.

As long as I got those 3 hourly study periods in I was happy. To be honest, I found I got on with the lessons so well in my online Spanish course that I often did 2 hour sittings in one go and because I was learning so fast, I was always keen to get home and download some new lessons.

Choosing an online Spanish course

When I wanted to know how to learn Spanish I was lucky enough to find a great online Spanish course that was fun to do, taught me quickly and made learning Spanish surprisingly easy to do.

It's a great way to learn Spanish and they are so confident in their course that they include a full money back guarantee for a full 8 weeks. You won't need it though, in 8 weeks I was holding full blown conversations with Latin Americans!

Learning Spanish For Kids

Your kids have expressed an early interest in learning Spanish, and you have decided that it would be fun to teach them. However, you only know a few Spanish phrases so you are considering doing the Rocket Spanish course.

When do kids learn to speak Spanish?

The first thing that you should think about when it comes to learning Spanish for your kids is whether or not your kids are really interested in learning Spanish at such a young age in the first place. The answer is that the younger a child is, the faster they absorb the knowledge. Thus, if your children begin learning Spanish at a young age, they will most likely become fluent earlier.

You might want to do the Spanish lessons in such a way so that you and your children are learning Spanish together!

How do kids learn best? There are plenty of audio lessons within the online Rocket Spanish course that you and your children can do together that are designed to be fun and to keep them interested.

There are many different ways that you can learn Spanish for your kids, but if you do choose to learn Spanish on your own so that you can teach your kids rather than doing the course together, it should be noted that your children might lose interest.

Thus, you either should learn Spanish along with your children as a bonding experience, or you should let them take the Rocket Spanish Course on their own.

If you already know some Spanish from when you took it in school, you can make the process of learning Spanish for your kids much easier.

The Rocket Spanish course is great for kids and adults so why not do the course together?

Learning Spanish While You Sleep Listening To The Rocket Spanish Course

The Rocket Spanish course is not just an online course. You can download as many of the audio lessons as you are comfortable with and put them on your MP3 player or burn them to CD so you can listen to them when relaxing or even learning Spanish while you sleep!

An Amazing Technique For Learning Spanish

Generally, when we say sleep we are referring to a resting state that indicates that the body is not active and the mind too is not conscious. Many of the experts that claim you can be taught while sleeping insist that their method of teaching introduces new and amazing techniques that allow the mind to absorb all the information when the body is at rest. Perfect for learning a new language like Spanish.

In fact sleep learning in countries such as Russia is well developed. It has been documented that by learning Spanish while you sleep methods a person can memorize as many as one thousand and twenty six different words in a mere six months and all while they were sleeping.

I never tried it personally although I did fall asleep a few times whilst listening to my Rocket Spanish audio lessons late at night in bed. Maybe it worked on me and I didn't even know?

Anyway, the thing is just because the Rocket Spanish course is online doesn't mean you have to be sat in front of your computer to learn Spanish. It just means that all the learning material is online for you to view or download. They released the online course to cut down costs as they don't have to send you an hard copy of all the material. If you prefer they still sell the hardcopy version of The Rocket Spanish course but I was on a budget and found the low cost of the online version was well within that budget.

How To Speak Spanish Tips

Some tips to help you while learning Spanish online.

Want to learn how to speak Spanish? Personally I found I was best suited to learning Spanish online but that's just me. Whichever method you decide on, I've put together a few tips below that I found helped me quite a lot in the very early days of my course and hopefully you will find them helpful too.

Just how much of your day you give to implementing these tips will depend on how much of the language you are wanting to learn. A planned vacation somewhere south of the border probably means you just want to learn enough to get you by should you manage to break away from the tourist hot spots.

It's worth remembering though that America is now the fourth largest Spanish speaking nation in the world and that Spanish is now the fourth most popular language in the world.

In fact, the worlds Spanish speaking population is now out growing the English speaking population for the first time, so as you can see, it really is a great time to learn how to speak Spanish and if you use this tips while learning Spanish online, there is no reason why you won't be holding a conversation with a native Latin American in just 8 weeks from now.

One of the best tips I got when I first started learning how to speak Spanish was to bring the language into my day at every possible chance. For instance, I started watching the world news on a cable Spanish TV channel AFTER I had watched it in English. That way, I had a good idea of the content due to the footage being shown so I would try to pick up words from the newsreader.

Same thing goes for local Spanish radio stations. Many of them will run the same local advertisements as their English counterparts so you can quickly recognize the jingles that accompany the ads: listen enough times and you will soon start to recognize and understand the Spanish vocabulary too.

Another good tip I found was to set my mobile phone to the Spanish language. If you are like me, you know what all the buttons do without looking. Set to Spanish, I would follow along to all the words as they came up on my screen and even though I didn't know the word, I knew what it meant. If you are feeling brave, you can do the same thing with your email client too.

Of course, these tips can really only help when used along with Spanish lessons. Learning a second language used to mean going back to the class room, usually in an evening, or spending a fortune on a stack of CD's and books to learn from.

Today though, learning Spanish online is the way to go. It's certainly cheaper than night classes or purchasing a hard copy of a language course. I chose The Rocket Spanish course when I wanted to learn how to speak Spanish.

I chose RocketSpanish because they are so confident in their course that they give a full money back guarantee should you not be happy with your progress any time up to a full 8 weeks.

Not that it was needed though. The audio lessons are broken down into short 20 minute lessons that make them easy to remember and fun to do. In just 2 months you will be holding full blown conversations in Spanish, guaranteed.

Learning Spanish As A Second Language Can Help Bridge Cultures

There is little doubt that learning Spanish as a second language is very important given the rapidly evolving twenty-first century requirements of knowing more than simply one language - the English language. There are many places in America where a big concentration of Spanish speaking people live and there are also more people that speak Spanish that are relocating to the US from places such as Mexico.

It would thus be pretty common to hear people speak in Spanish and in any case Spanish is a popular language that lends it to becoming a second language. Not only is Spanish the second most popular language in America, but it is also the fourth most spoken language in the World after Chinese, English and Hindustani. With tourism a great and growing industry, learning Spanish as a second language also has other benefits and helps in the meeting of minds as well as cultures.

Among the many reasons to learn Spanish as a second language is that the twenty-first century America is becoming more multicultural as well as multilingual. Of course, learning Spanish as a second language is also recommended because the language itself is easy to learn, and should not take long before one can converse and understand it.
