You might find that one of our Squid Angels has visited and blessed your lens. A blessing gives your lens a tiny boost in lens rank and a big vote of confidence that you are writing quality content on Squidoo.

There are hundreds of Squid Angels who explore lenses on Squidoo looking for quality lenses to bless. The work of the Squid Angels ensures that Squidoo shines with unique, useful and updated lenses.

Squid Angels are also passionate about finding new quality lenses...hint, hint.

Squid Angels

(despite their title) are humans.

As we all know the internet can be an anonymous void of technology. It's sometimes hard to tell whether content is being reviewed by man or machine.

The Squid Angels are very much a human element on Squidoo. In fact they are dedicated lensmasters (just like you) who are representatives, voices, and a force for good. They spend a few hours per week looking through the the Squidoo community and championing great lenses.

5 Things Squid Angels Do...

  • 1Squid Angels find great lenses to bless throughout the entire Squidoo community.
  • 2Squid Angels find lenses by looking at the Top 100 lists, participating in quests, searching through the "Latest Additions" section that can be found on every topics page and in the SquidU Forum.
  • 3A Squid Angel might leave you a comment, send you a message about a tiny typo that needs fixed or even nominate you for our Giant Squid program.
  • 4The Angels also are able to "ding" lenses that are junky or spammy or have little or no content.
  • 5Squid Angels want you to succeed on Squidoo and love to answer questions.

Would you like to join the Squid Angels?

Here's some criteria for applying.

We accept Squid Angel applications on a rolling basis and you'll get a confirmation e-mail if you're accepted.
  1. Experience is key in being a good Squid Angel so we ask that you've been a member of Squidoo for a least 3 months.
  2. In order to review a great lens you've got to be able to create a great lens! So we'll be taking a peek at the lenses in your account to make sure you've got good quality, content rich lenses that would make a Squid Angel proud.
  3. Our Squid Angels are strong supporters of the Squidoo community. So in order to apply to be a Squid Angel you've got to be at Level 15 or higher. In order to increase your level you can create quality lenses, SquidLike lenses, participate in polls and duels and comment on lenses.
  4. A minimum of 20 quality lenses.

    I will celebrate my one month anniversary of being on Squidoo-tomorrow April 13th. I came across an article about Squid Angels, but had no idea what the program was all about. I've completed 4 lenses, working on my 5th, do al the quests, squidlike lenses, and promote lenses on twitter and Facebook. I am having a lot of fun, but didn't know I could receive a Squid Angel Blessing until today. I haven't received a "blessing" as of this post; however, it gives me hope to know that I could recieve a blessing from Squid Angel. Thank you for this lens!
