A sexy, stylish, and undeniably cool band, The Strokes are the future of rock & roll
The Strokes is a 5 piece band hailing from New York City, made up of Nikolai Fraiture (bass), Julian Casablancas (vocals), Albert Hammond Jr and Nick Valensi (guitar) and Fab Moretti (drums). In 2003, their second album (Room on Fire) hit stores and recieved critical praise, some critics citing this album as an advance musically and showed they weren't content to milk the formula that brought them their success.
Constant touring followed by a well-earned break (during which Casablancas married the band's publicist's secretary) meant that it wasn't until January 2006 that their third record, First Impressions of Earth was released. (read more)
