My Review
Now, so far, it is similar to other good novels that show how women friends help each other grow and heal. But here is where it diverges from the norm. They each meet a woman who offers time travel and they take her up on it. What happens next makes for a fascinating page-turner!
Not only did I love it, but it was bittersweet to get to the end.
“Great summer beach read and equally good in the window seat by a warm , crackling fire!”
"Three best friends, all with the same birthday, are about to turn forty. Celebrating at a summerhouse in Maine, Leslie Headrick, Madison Appleby, and Ellie Abbott are taking stock of their lives and loves, their wishes and choices. But none of them expect the gift that awaits them at the summer house: the chance for each of them to turn their "what-might-have-beens" in to reality..."

- Another Interview with Jude Deveraux
- In this interview, she answers questions about her book, Lavender Morning. I like to write series because I can't bear to leave my characters. I want to know what happened to them after they fell in love. And there are always side characters who I want to know more about. I really liked Sara in this book and have written a novel about her.

- Read an author blog at Simon & Schuster and find out more about Jude Deveraux. "Creating Promises for the Vook was one of the most exciting experiences of my career. When my publisher, Judith Curr, asked if I'd do it, I jumped at the chance. It's always great to try new things. I was asked to write an exciting, filmable story. Since I grew up in front of a TV set, I knew that meant drama that would lend itself to a camera. No characters sitting around and contemplating; they wanted action."
