Three Viral Videos For The History Books

I recall when I first heard of YouTube and thought why would anyone want to put their home videos online? But the bigger question was why would anyone want to watch them? Then YouTube just got bigger and bigger, finally some videos became a YouTube viral video. Meaning one person would watch a video (get infected) and tell others (infect) about it. They in turn would tell even more (pandemic) and the YouTube viral video would just become part of the national discussion.

Most are pretty worthless, but some were worthwhile. The latest worthwhile YouTube viral video was Susan Boyle from Britain's Got Talent. Which also showed a video can very easily cross borders and oceans in a flash.

Presented are three YouTube Viral Video worth remembering.

Chocolate Rain

YouTube Viral Video #1

This is my particular favorite. You know how certain people send those joke emails or angel feel good emails? Most I delete, but someone who never forwards emails sent me this one and it was fav because it was so simple. A talent and bit unusual, but enough to become a YouTube viral video with over 38 million views.

The Last Lecture

YouTube Viral Video #2

Though most viral videos have no socially redeeming qualities, this YouTube viral video is an extreme exception. So much so that YouTube allows it to be played in its entirety without cuts. Most videos are held to 15-20 minutes then have to be split up for sake of file size and bandwidth. But the honest substance of a dying man's humorous and inspiring lecture was beyond comparison. This YouTube viral video has over 9 million views.

Leave Britney Alone

YouTube Viral Video #3

After giving you a favorite and then a deeply powerful YouTube viral video I present you a final video which is typical of the bulk of YouTube viral videos. Unfortunately, this says more about those who watch and forward videos than the who made this video. Also unlike the first two which as somewhat timeless, this one needs context as this a defense of Britney Spears when she was going through her very public meltdown(s). Sadly, this YouTube viral video has over 25 million views.
