Who Played In The Wizard Of Oz

Written in 1900 by L Frank Baum, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz quickly became a very popular children's book. After that Baum wrote thirteen more books about the Land Of Oz. Since then there's been many adaptations of the little Kansas girl named Dorothy, along with her dog Toto, the Cowardly Lion, the Tin woodman and the Scarecrow who followed the yellow brick road to see the Wizard of Oz in plays and movies and television. The first attempt to bring the characters of Oz to life on Broadway was done by Baum and Denslow themselves along with composer Paul Tietjens, director Julian Mitchell and producer Fred R Hamlin.
