Folks, only two manufacturers in the US produce diapers across the nation: Proctor&Gamble and Kimberly-Clark. Wal-Mart, Target, Krogers, Albertsons negotiate with them for a version of those diapers for their chance to make more money in the sale. In any given YEAR the diapers you buy at SAM may be a KC diaper or a PG diaper. Diapers and quality change at LEAST annually. So don't put much stock in the dated reviews. I've seen the comparisons and each company will beat the other one for a while. By the way PG makes Luvs and Pampers. KC makes Huggies. White Cloud is a regional producer that can't keep up with the innovations of the other two. Those Store brands you like are contractually negotiated design changes of the Pamper/Huggies originals. Find the one that provides the best value - which will probably change by the time you child moves on to training pants. Oh, guess what! Same thing with these products too - just two national manufacturers.

I use Target brand diapers with my son and using since he was 1 month old. They work grt, never leaked and no rash. they are anly 10 cents per diaper for size 1. But they are a little stiff. I will ive parent's choie diapers a try in future.

I've always loved Pampers Swaddlers and Huggies Supreme with Cuddle Weave. Both have stretchy sides, tabs that stay on, and soft, cloth-like covers. My baby wears Size 1, so these brands have always worked best for her. I've used store brands such as Krogers Comforts, White Cloud, and Parent's Choice, and I'm not really all that impressed with them. From now on, whenever I want to buy a store brand diaper, I'm going to make sure the brand has stretchy sides and a soft, cloth-like feel. Otherwise, I'm sticking with Pampers and Huggies. Oh, and did I also mention I love Sesame Street, Elmo, and Winnie the Pooh? Still one more reason to stick with these brands if they mean anything to you. Word of caution, though: Unless you have a preemie or a low-weight, skinny newborn, don't use the newborn-size Pampers Swaddlers. They don't fit bigger babies very well, even with the stretchy sides. My poor Size 1 baby can barely breathe with these on!

I have pretty much agreed with your choice of diapers except I really don't like Parent's Choice because they are kinda rough. Pampers are the softest but my daughter (6mths) has started having lots of leaks. Huggies are cute and work pretty good. White Cloud is pretty good and LUVS to me is the greatest. She's never had a leak with LUVS or White Cloud so I would definitely reccomend them. And as far as wipes go, Pampers has the best and I never use anything different because they are so soft! Comfort is what I keep in mind when I change my baby!!!

I've used Huggies and Pampers on both my kids, but have found that one brand might work better than the nother at certain stages, due to the way they fit differently.

I have been curious about Members Mark, but like everyone else... was leery of buying in bulk when it came to a new diaper. I whole heartedly agree with all of the reviews for diapers, so you have convinced me to give Member's Mark a try. THANKS!

THANK YOU for putting this out there! I have a little boy due in late July, and I am trying to save money where I can, and I was wondering how well the member's mark and the Parent's choice diapers held up, because they ARE SO much cheaper... I don't know if you know about this site, but they accept coupons and everything, and it's www.diapers.com. Thanks again! and if you have any other ideas on saving money, throw them my way! caite19@yahoo.com

I have always been a Pampers user and have never had a problem. But I will have two in diapers soon and so I tried Luvs being that the price is a lot more reasonable and have not had a problem yet.

Well, as the mother of 6 I have found that while there are some brands that don't hold up no matter what, I found that among the biggest names that it all depends on the build of the child mixed with the cut of the diaper. What worked for one child didn't always for another.

Thanks for rating all these diapers! It was interesting reading. I find it funny that the diapers you dislike the most are the one's I LOVE!
We HATED Luvs, Pampers leaked all over the place, but when we discovered Huggies we were so happy... we've never had a leak yet!
