I'm actually a pretty modest fella. Though I know a thing or 2 about SEO. "The Coolest Guy on the Planet" is well known contest for SEO experts competing for recognition.

I recommend using tools (seo software) whenever possible. Some of the tools I use require a small investment but I've always felt that "time is money" and just as important. I would much rather have extra time to spend with my wife and kids than to save a few pennys while tearing my hair out.

It hasn't always been easy for me.The truth is getting going online can be a real headache if you don't know what you are doing.
Although some "experts" would treat you like that fish you see there.
It took me between 6 months and a year to really understand all the aspects of internet marketing and the way to execute an online business.
My best suggestion to you if you are getting started is to just pick a handful of people to learn from. I'd recommend between 3-5 "mentors" you can respect and trust. You should find someone you respect and admire for what they've accomplished and then do what they do to get what they've got. (ethically of course)
Follow these picks and avoid getting more info than you need. Information overload is a dangerous addiction and it can prevent you from accomplishing your goals.
Set rules and ABOVE ALL ELSE... "Stick to Them"
Running a business online is just that: Running A Business. If you don't treat your work as a business it will cease to be one.
