Cruise News

Whilst browsing the net the other morning I stumbled across a fantastic newspaper style website about cruises and cruise companies called The Cruise. As a cruise 'anorak' I look at lots of different cruise websites on a daily basis but this one really caught my eye.

There are features and stories on all of the top cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean, P&O Cruises and Cunard as well as news on cruise ships and destinations which appear to be updated on a daily basis. The information is easy to access via tabs across the top of the page which have drop-down menus. As well as news you can interact with fellow enthusiasts by way of a cruise forum.

The pages are well designed, colourful and laid out in the style of a newspaper. The site must be fairly new as I certainly haven't come across it before, but it seems to be growing and I've no doubt that where there are some gaps in content they will soon be filled in.

On the right hand side of the main page there is an easy to use search box for site content as well as a search box to help you find a cruise holiday which appears to link you to well known cruise holiday specialists, Cruise VIP. Update; this box has now gone, not sure where? However the website now appears to be promoting a Cheap Cruises website called Cruisegle.

Another interesting feature is a box that you can supply them with your email address and they will send you cruise news alerts straight to your inbox at home.

All in all, The Cruise was a particularly good read and I will definitely bookmarking the site as one of my favourites.
