This book has so motivated me. I found it very easy to read, as if the author and I were sitting together having a conversation. It made dieting seem simple... as if it was a secret no one had ever told me about. You learn about food, and there are choices... it's not just depriving yourself. During my first year of college, I began to gain the dreaded "freshman 15". Let's just say by the time June rolled around, I was not ready for beach season, and I was looking for something simple to help me shed some pounds. I really needed something that was simple enough to where I didn't need to join a gym and didn't have to spend hours preparing meals.
One early morning, I was watching the Today Show and they did a segment on the Abs Diet for Women. The author introduced the basics of plan and talked about some of the successes women have had. I then went on to research the book along with others, finally settling on this one.
I am really happy with the book and the results thus far. In the first week, I lost 5 lbs. I also feel I have more energy and my skin even looks better from eating all of the frech foods. I have yet to have a bad meal as well.
If you are a beginner in terms of dealing with proper nutrition and exercise like I was, then this book is for you. Hope you find it as helpful as I did!

Variety is the key to longevity. The original Abs Diet book was great as a starter but something else was desperately needed, at least for me, to keep from having to spend too much time that wasnt available in the kitchen preparing the foods beforehand. The smoothies were great for a while, but eventually even they became so repetitive that I was beginning to lose my taste for them. I even ran out of inventive recipes for the smoothies.
Just when the diet itself was getting to me, this book came out. The simplicity of the recipes reminded me of how much of a cook i am not. This book addresses both of my previous problems. First, it revamped the variety I once found in the foods recommened; Second, it provided me with many recipes that I could string together in a pinch.
This book was just the thing I needed to keep to this great diet plan for life. The Abs Diet Resturant Guide is great as well, but you really arent eating that healthy whenever you eat out and stapling this diet around that book means that you have to spend more TIME lifting or doing cardio to balance it all out.
To reiterate, this book along with the Abs Diet (and even the Abs Diet Resturant Guide when you get caught having to go out) is everything you need to stick to the regiment required to keep you lean from life and hopefully free of biological deficiencies (diabetes and the like). Do yourself a favor and work now to save your life later.

Wow and double wow! I love the recipes in this book! We bought this book in conjunction with his "The Abs Diet" book. My husband and I love to cook and the majority of these recipes are right up there with the best! So simple to make and really delicious! The serving sizes are generally plenty to have leftovers ~ for freezing or eating the next day for lunch! This book is, however, repetitive (passages/pages referring to "The Abs Diet" book). BUT, that is necessary if you haven't purchased "The Abs Diet" book because you'd be a bit lost. It is definately worth getting BOTH of these fantastic books! My husband and I have lost 7 lbs. and continue to maintain/lose. I can't wait for his women's book coming out in May! It will be interesting to see the differences in the books

David's books hit the target straight on. No fuss, no muss, no fancy this or that. The plan is simple. Eat right and start moving. Change your life and lifestyle forever. Not once did I feel I was deprived of any particular foods. I went from 240 to 222 and am still re-shaping. Lots of new muscle and definition (and I'm 55, imagine that!). I like to do sprint triathlons and this book has helped me improve tremendously. Can't recommend this book and the sister books enough. Get it, read it, do it. You'll love it.

This book was great and it brought to attention how much terrible things are used to mass produce foods today. I know have a better idea of what to avoid and what to eat a lot of. I have noticed a big difference in my life and the way I feel on an everyday basis.

The Abs Diet Workout is fantastic. Simple, easy and effective! I enjoy doing the exercises and find it a realistic and achievable program. I am starting to feel a change in my body after only two weeks. I believe that if I continue doing these exercises I should notice an improvement to my physique. I feel like I'm doing something positive when I do the Abs exercises and therefore don't mind making the effort to perform the exercises. It's great!

I'm not keen on workout tapes or DVDs but I bought this because I got a deal when I bought the book, too. But this is a great workout DVD with 3 levels, one right for everyone. It doesn't take long to work out with it and the music that accompanies the action really gets you going. I've lost 15 pounds in 6 weeks by using the Abs Diet book (it shouldn't be called a diet - more of a lifestyle change in a positive way that anyone can stick with) and the DVD.

I belong to a gym, so DVDs are an alternative when I just don't feel like driving there, it's raining, so on. That said, I've used this DVD once or twice every week since it arrived, 5 weeks ago. Before that, it was Crunch Boot Camp
