Celebrating all that is macabre and strange is The Addams Family. Created by cartoonist Charles Addams, this beloved and ooky family has gone from print to television to movies.
A new musical based on the creepy family is currently in the works for the 2009-2010 Broadway season. Advance notices have Nathan Lane slated to play Gomez and Bebe Neuwirth will take on the role of Morticia.
The Addams Family at a Glance
The Addams Family is a group of fictional characters created by American cartoonist Charles Addams. Earlier Addams had worked in collaboration with his friend Ray Bradbury. In a 2001 interview Bradbury states that after failing to find a publisher, they went their own separate ways, with Bradbury creating the Elliott Family and Addams creating the Addams family.

I used to read Charles Addams books in the library when I was very young (8 or so). It definitely warped my mind, but I loved them. Much later in life, I actually worked on two films: "Addam's Family" and "Addam's Family Values", painting portraits and various old master copies and murals. Too much fun - really enjoyed your lens.......John
