You do need some extra money, right? My approach is simple and to the point. I give you the basic facts and recommendations to get you started on your way. I'm not going to make you read endless "chatter" and wear you down. Your busy and so am I so let's get on with it and I'll hope that what I have to say you find interesting and helpful.

I will go over some common questions I feel most people new to Internet affiliate marketing might have.

Certainly for me these were questions I needed to have answered before I could make an educated decision whether this type of business venture was suited to me.

One of the first things to realize is that affiliate marketing is a business like any business. You will need to devote among other things "time, effort and money". The actual amount of those three requirements will have a distinct effect on how your new business will proceed. All of us will have different amounts of each and therefore we can be strong in some areas but weak in others.

Time: For me this was one of my weak areas. I was in the beginning of my new Internet venture working a "normal" 40 hour week, if there is such a thing. Finding the necessary time was a challenge. I did discover, however, that the more I learned the more I got "pumped up" and finding those needed hours wasn't as hard as I thought. It may be different for you but allocating certain blocks of study time is critical to your success. There are numerous ways to find extra time if your motivated. Get up an hour earlier, go to bed a bit later or maybe not watch so much television. You get my drift you will need to make some adjustments.

Effort: Maximum effort will be necessary in the beginning. Read, read and read some more. I found that printing out e-books to study worked well for me. I put them in a 3 ring binder and took them with me wherever I went so that if I had a few minutes before work, during lunch or whenever I could pull one out and read a few pages.

It was like reading a fiction novel I just couldn't put it down. I would get so motivated when I read I couldn't wait to get on the computer and practice. Some of what you will be learning can only be practiced on the keyboard and watched on the monitor yet having the e-book information at your disposal will keep you in the right mindset. Just push yourself to be consistent and the rewards will come.

Money: I'm sure we all understand that to start any business on or offline requires an investment. There are online affiliate programs available in all price ranges from under $50.00 to over $1000.00 an up. I had found all I needed to get started was around $150.00.

It may be more or less for you but if your looking for something free it's not going to happen. Not all beginner programs are created equal and the old adage you get what you pay for is certainly true with affiliate marketing learning products. I don't consider a good portion of the money I have spent, or will spend, as a cost but as a savings. A savings in time, effort and aggravation. Granted we all will buy products from time to time that don't do what they claim. That is why I have showcased the product below because "it does exactly what it claims". My advice to you is to buy the best information you can afford because time is money and the quicker you can absorb and use the information the faster you can start to earn.

If you are sincerely motivated and truly interested in a life changing opportunity you will work out any issues you might have with the above. Basically all you need to do is make the decision to start and the rest will begin to fall in to place sooner than you might think.

1. What exactly is "Affiliate marketing"

First and foremost affiliate marketing is a way to start building additional income through the Internet. This is done by finding products that you would like to promote. If someone buys that product because of your promotion or advertising methods the seller gives you a commission . Commissions vary from one product to another but 30% to 60% of the sale price is common. There are 1000's of products to choose from and sellers to partner with. Perhaps you have a hobby or a particular product in mind, chances are there is an affiliate program available. I have found the simplest products and the ones most in demand are informational products. Ones that can be instantly downloaded after purchase and used immediately.

2. Do I need to be a "Brain" on the computer.

Absolutely not! If that were the case I wouldn't be talking to you right now. Granted the more you know the easier it will be to implement your new found
knowledge but anybody who can follow directions can learn to make money online. Some will learn faster than others but with the help of audio and video tutorials the process of learning the information at hand has become virtual child's play.

Watch, listen and learn what could be easier and if you don't understand the first time just rewind! The technology to teach and learn online has
certainly advanced by leaps and bounds.

3. How long before I can make some "Money"

I wish there was a definitive answer to this question. To some making enough money would be a few hundred dollars a month while some would need that much in a day to consider that amount as a benefit of their efforts. There are some ways to begin a "quick start " program and be earning money in a fast as a few weeks but to build a solid business foundation and to grow from there will require time. When you consider it time really is a relative term. Consider where you are now and where you want to be 3 months from now, 6 months or how about a year. If you new that your efforts would be rewarded in the long run and could offer you a lifetime of opportunity wouldn't it all be worth a bit of patience. I think we all know the answer to that. So be patient, build your business properly. A haphazard start will only lead to confusion, discontent and failure! The money will come.

4. Do I need a "Website/ Blog"

No you do not need a website or a blog to start.

You can promote products using multiple advertising methods to give you immediate results.

All of the affiliate sites I recommend have loads of information for you to figure out the best approach for your needs. You will however want to consider building your own website or blog as this is the desired way to grow and establish a presence online. You will no doubt have addition questions an concerns as you move forward.

Give yourself enough time to digest all of the information provided. Read, watch and listen but realize you may need to come back from time to time so don't forget to Bookmark this lens.
