Theatre Knights Mission

The study of the arts in school leads to academic, social, interpersonal and creative development and yet this is one area that is frequently left out of the curriculum or considered to be "extra-curricular." Participation in a group activity such as theatre helps children:

*Build self-confidence and positive self-image
*Learn to work as a team
*Build trust
*Learn how to interact with one another in a positive way
*Apply abstract thinking to other areas of their lives (such as academics)
*Learn to be more open-minded and accepting of diversity
*Understand the importance of education and increases academic attendance, especially for youth at risk for delinquent behavior and truancy problems

It is left to the community to find funding for these types of activities outside the school budget. Friends of Theatre Knights is a family and community support organization for the arts at Manchester High School West in Manchester NH. Its mission is to inspire, encourage interest in, and raise funds for support of the arts and the improvement of the arts facilities at Manchester West.

A Great Fundraiser for a Terrific Organization

NH Craft Show to Benefit Theatre Knights

Just in time for Christmas! It's that time of year again when we all trudge to the store to pick out gifts for family, friends and coworkers. This year, why not support a great non-profit organization and find truly unique gifts?

Theatre Knights is Manchester, NH's premiere young people's theatre company. Their primary purpose is to offer an equal opportunity to our theatre students for involvement in theatre, while providing our surrounding communities with top, professional quality productions. Through a challenging and rewarding drama program, they offer students, their families, and their staff an on-going learning experience in all aspects of theatre production.

Come to the Theatre Knights Vendor & Craft show in the Manchester High School West cafeteria from 9am to 3pm on Saturday November 14, 2009. You can make a difference! By attending this NH craft show you will be supporting an organization that provides the students of Manchester High School West with a one of a kind educational opportunity. Without your support, this wouldn't be possible!
