Spring Tuneup

(1) Rotating tires regularly extends their life and will give you better braking and handling.

(2) under pressure? -Make sure you have proper air pressure in your tires all year round to reduce gas consumption. If your tires are "off" then your car has to work that much harder to get you where you want to go. This is especially important when you're driving on wet roads that are typical during spring. Proper tires are one of the important features on your car.

(3) Clean the underneath the car -body - When you're washing the exterior, be sure to spray the underbody. Spray right underneath the rear and front bumpers. Try to rinse away any salt build-up. It left unattended, it may lead to rusting. For this job you need a high-pressure sprayer. The garden hose works well too.

(4) Interior clean-up - Give that vacuum cleaner a good workout! Any garbage that has hibernated in your car over the winter need to be tossed. Store your winter car mats in the garage.

(5) Preserve and protect - Any vinyl surface such as, seats, steering wheel and dashboard are susceptible to cracking, fading and sun damage - This Spring, apply a protectant to interior areas of your car.

(6) Change oil - During the winter, you may have used a thinner oil (i.e. 5W30). Make sure you change back to 10W30 for the warmer weather months. Always check, if you don't already know, what the manufacturer's recommended oil type is for your car! Ask us at the Auto Spa Ltd when you come into our service location.

(7) Brake check - Be sure to check your brakes. Pay attention to the warning signs. Do you have brake 'noise', excessive grinding, squealing, screeching or chatter. Check your brake fluid first. If you don't know where it is, look on the Internet or get a pal to help you out. Before there is extensive damage you should get your brakes looked after.

(8) Check fluids -It really doesn't matter if its Spring summer or Fall. You need to check all fluids to make sure they're topped up - In the cold winter months, you may not be checking as often as you should. It's good practice to make sure to all your car's fluids regularly.

(9) Wiper blades check - Your wipers work hard all winter. Let The Auto Spa Ltd. in Mississauga or your local service centre check your wipers next time you are in the neighborhood. IT doesn't cost anything. It may be time to replace them to be prepared for April showers.
