We Love The Backyardigans!

My five-year old and my two-year old both love the Backyardigans. And, I will have to admit that my husband and I enjoy them as well. The characters and stories are very unique and the songs are catchy. It is certainly not unusual to hear one of my kids singing a Backyardigans song while playing.

Backyardigans Characters

We Love Them All!

Pablo: Pablo is a penguin and is the favorite character of my five-year old son. Pablo is a little bit high strung and he runs around and babbles a lot. But he is still very brave and loveable.

Tyrone: Tyrone is a moose and he is definitely a leader. He is very confident and sometimes this gets in the way of him listening to the rest of the group. He is very likely to come up with a solution to a problem. Tyrone reminds me the most of my son.

Uniqua: Uniqua is a pink and purple creature. That is all I can say, as no one is quite sure what exactly she is. She is, however ful of energy and spunk and, along with Tyrone is one of the leaders of the group.

Tasha: Tasha is a sweet as pie hippo and her character is very girlie and loveable. Underneath her sweet exterior, though, Tasha is tough and can be known to be a little bit on the bossy side.

Austin: Austin is a kangaroo and he is definitely the quietest and most withdrawn of all the Backyardigans. He has a very sweet quality to his character and loves to be included in the games and songs.

Singing The Winter Away

Where we live, it gets very cold in the winter. We find that there is no better way to endure the long months than to sip hot chocolate and watch The Backyardigans together as a family. It is something that we can all get into together and we very recently had the great opportunity to see the Backyardigans Live. It was a great show and is somethng my kids will remember for years to come.
