  1. After tips for online sitemap i give you only two desktop sitemap makers . I tested about 10 sitemap makers for desktop and for now i give my vote for:
    Site Map Pro is not free software to try download evaluation copy, here some features:

    Group pages into themed categories.

    Stylesheet and template support.

    Huge choice of options to make the site map fit your web site.

    Site map formatting is fully configurable.

    GSiteCrawler Google (and Yahoo!) Sitemap Generator for Windows .Before you start to use crawler delete all projects (you need this to delete preconfigured crawler with insterted forum links) and start new fresh project .

    If you have huge site with more then 3000 pages do not live crawler alone (just keep eye on work - maybe yes or maybe not but depend on your settings crawler may overide hosting wandwith)

    you submit:

    Or you can add this line into robots.txt file: Sitemap:http://www.mysite.com/sitemap.xml

    WWW is required only for domain with WWW

  4. If you have small website with up to 500 pages this describe best method to get your sitemap in following formats : sitemap.xml, urllist.txt, sitemap.html, sitemap.xml.gz , ror.xml.

    Go to xml-sitemaps.com insert website address (if you have www before domain please insert) , all finished sitemaps upload in root directory with CHMOD 644 - that's all , your site is ready for spiders.If you want to remove some links or pages from sitemaps edit with some editor like NotePadPlus or HTML Kit and then upload to server.
  5. For website - up to 1000 pages:

    Go to Online sitemap builder , enter your url
    Download files then uplod sitemap.xml,urllist.txt to your site.

    Submit your site to Yahoo
    - manage sites from Yahoo Site Explorer :autenticate,submit feed (if any)
    Submit your site to Google
    - proced to verification then submit sitemap
    - Enable enhanced image search

    Simple ?
