I Was Just Looking For The Best Street Dance For Leah!

There I was just looking around the net thinking of something to send to Leah in an email...

I was looking for the best street dance squidoo lens and when I searched for it I was a bit shocked ... Nothing about street dance to be found that "really relates" to street dance in amongst the big boys in a squidoo search rankings for "street dance" :(

So I thought I'd try to create a squidoo lens that actually ranks for street dancers not the other random stuff that found...

(No disrespect to those that have now got a boost to the top since I created this lens)..

But I have to say that this is MY interpretation of street dance put together for my beautiful Leah. The best street street dance for Leah also includes the best street dancers I can find, the best street dance video's, which is packed with the best street dancer's online. Why Street dance ...

well Leah had first street dance lesson the other day and I just wanted to send her something in a lens! She loves to dance does my little girl. I was one of those dad's with tears in his eye's watching her perform at the Derngate Theater Northampton... How proud was I :)

Street Dance on Squidoo ... This is what a found

I did a simple search for "Best Street Dance" on Squidoo and was a biy supprised to say the least

Don't go getting upperty I had something else in mind when I started the search. As I say Leah (my beautiful daughter) had just had come home all excited and spoken to me on the phone ( She lives in Sweden) about her first street dance lesson. I managed to find a fantastic lens on "Kunf-Fu Panda" for Kyle, he's five and crazy about kung-fu panda, (part 2 out soon) and really wanted to send a lens over for Leah to look at ...

Street Dance "How to salsa dance"!: Salsa OK some would disagree but I hardly call salsa street dance well not in the context that I was looking for anyway. Sure if your living in Columbia or Mexico you might be forgiven, but hey this is what the squid search threw up as the number 1 spot.
Hip Hop Dance Music: OK I hear ya .. Hip Hop can be considered as street dance, just like salsa can but the reason I'm so pissed at this is it has ZERO dancing in the lens! huh... I got the idea for creating this just because of that hip Hop lens.. Sorry guys.
The twist video show case: And this tipped me over the edge. I mean in 2009 who on this earth would call 'the twist' a street dance... I rest my case.
Britain's got talent winner: Well closest but still no cigar! I mean I like Diversity They are what I call Street Dance.. But I wanted to send Leah some Krump & freestyle that she hadn't seen on the TV over and over again. I wanted to inspire her ... Check out the vid's below you'll get what I mean... I hope!

Pink Mafia was my first real experience at street dance face to face

I was working in Milton Keynes for that dreaded doughnut company KrispyKreme. I must say in the early day's in that company, I did love it. But that's because I was the guy who took it over built it from from O'Brians sandwiches as a building site shell and was instrumental in turning it into a Krispykreme hot tunnel... (Random or what, a blast from the past) Anyway when I first met Mark (aka) Swarf.

He was the man behind Pink Mafia. and I was lucky enough to have employed a few great young stars to create my team, and unbeknown to me at the time. 2 of them knick naked Flexy & Dizzle (Freddy & Cindy) were members of the dance group Pink Mafia. they were super talented and used to burst into dance at the sound of any hot tunes that used to come on to the stores sound system.

I even went to a few of the rehearsal sessions ... And no I dare not join in and embarrass myself even though I was always encouraged to... However that was when I saw the amount of talent that there was in Milton Keynes. I'm sure that in 2006 there wasn't another town or city that had so much going for it in the form of "The Best Street Dance" even the Britain's got talent,or was it X-Factor? finalists Nemesis were a splinter group from Swarfs training classes.

F lashmob.. What's Flashmob then? Well I've been sitting on this for about a week now but I just can't keep my mouth closed any longer :)

I'm sure you remember the T-mobile "dancing at the Liverpool St train station commercial, well Norrkoping Sweden is going to play host to another.
The exact location in Norrkoping I can't tell you but It's on the 28th of October 2009 ..

Yep not long to wait and dancers from all over Sweden are set to descend on this humble town in celebration of the music "and moves" that the "King Of Pop" gave us. And yes indeedie... My our own lovely Leah will be part of the massive dance troop. Leah and her group are trained by Marcus Nilsson-Nord

Yeah man, That's my Leah she is indeed, She says that when we Go to the UK she wants to meet Swarf so he can teach her street Dance UK styleee.. hehe

I went to create a lens about our Poker nights too but Squidoo won't let me put poker stuff on here :(
