A SONG FOR OUR LORD & OUR LADY
by Maria Clare 4 yrs old 2002

Jesus is the King of Heaven.
God is everyone's King of Heaven.
Mary is his mother and her name is Mary.
She was a good little mommy.

And Mary is the Queen of Heaven.
And she is alive in Heaven.
And Jesus is everywhere.

TRUE CHRISTIAN WOMANHOOD

by Sr. Mary Josephine

Available only through libraries:
The Eternal Woman-Gertrud Von La Fort
Highly recommended! Gertrud, was a Convert to Catholicism and wrote this book in the 1930s. Her astonishing portrayal of the dignity of woman as she stands in the Eternal thought of God, exemplified by the Virgin Mary, are countered by almost prophetical insights as to how the feminist movement of her time was to lead to the brash, brutal, masculine female of today.

Fascinating Womanhood-Helen Andelin
She sells separately a Scriptural reference for this book
This book has been credited, even by the secular world, with saving marriages which were 'going on the rocks'
(There are other books about Girls, raising Children, etc. A companion book written for men is available-authored by her husband.)

Digital book available in flip-book, PDF, and plain text:

Mirror of True Womanhood-Bernard O'Reilley Copyright 1886
This is an Excellent book written over 120 years ago but as true today as in that age. Punctuated by beautiful stories.

I see the main links are hard to read.

    Go to my main website:
    The Catholic Mom
    http://web.mac.com/thecatholicmom

Click on the Catholic and Home Education Link

Then on the left column you will find the links that I mention in the other post.

Hello! Thank you for this website(s). It seems there are a lot of resources here, and I'm a little confused where to find everything. I'm looking for advice and book reviews for homeschooling. Specifically, I'm looking for a phonics/reading program and a math program for first grade. I'd appreciate any comments. Thank you!

But, how do you like the new Lens by The Catholic Mom?
We would like constructive comments as much as possible! :)

I am doing well; excited to spend the afternoon with my children. Going to Boston for Harp lessons
for my daughter; hmm what adventures in Boston should we have today? Perhaps a visit to
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Shrine?
