I love the color yellow as in daisies!
The other night, hubby was extremely late getting home from work. When he called and asked if I needed him to pick up anything, I suggested perhaps something from the deli of Walmart as it was getting late for me to be fixing dinner. It was more than an hour later when he got home. Behind his back he was hiding a half dozen of large daisies -- oh, definitely a favorite color -- the color yellow! And, these are them!

The color yellow is rather a signature color
For me, I've been driving my super bright YELLOW car for nearly 6 years! I saved and saved and was able to afford this 1999 SLK 230 Kompressor -- after leasing it for 3 years, I opted to buy it from the bank ... I probably should have done that sooner as I would have saved a bit. Today with gas prices what they are, this smaller car is more gas efficient ALTHOUGH it does take the premium gas.
OK ... so that is just ONE of the ways that I profess my LOVE for the color yellow. Let's see what cool items I've found in this shopping guide that you too can find to show your love for the color yellow.

What makes YELLOW the color that is evoked by light?

Yellow is the color evoked by light that stimulates both the L and M (long and medium wavelength) cone cells of the retina about equally, with no significant stimulation of the S (short-wavelength) cone cells. Light with a wavelength of 570-580 nm is yellow, as is light with a suitable mixture of somewhat longer and shorter wavelengths. Yellow's traditional RYB complementary color is purple, violet, or indigo, while its colorimetrically defined complementary color in both RGB and CMYK color spaces is blue.
Why is a Smiley a Smiley?
Of course he must be the color YELLOW!
A smiley, or happy face, is a stylized representation of a smiling human face, commonly represented as a yellow (many other colors are also used) circle (or sphere) with two black dots representing eyes and a black half circle representing the mouth. Smiley is also sometimes used as a generic term for any emoticon.
