The Cramps have gone through numerous personnel changes, since emerging from the early punk scene with lead singer Lux Interior and lead guitarist Poison Ivy as the only constant members.

Their music is influenced by early rockabilly, as well as sufer music and punk, and has spawned a genre known as psychobilly which Lux Interior maintains does not describe their style. If you like The Cramps, you might also enjoy music by The Meteors, Gun Club, or The White Stripes.
