The Creative Process

I need more hours.... the days just seem to fly by....where did my time go???? For the majority of people these are daily thoughts and unfortunately daily realities.

Unfortunately I was in this same mindset many days of my life. I recently read a book that has brought tremendous clarity and insight on how to walk this out empowered.

The Creative Process is one of the greatest tools I now possess. Many of us are already utilizing The Creative Process and just dont realize it.

The Creative Process essentially is three steps.

1- Current Reality
2- End Result
3- Structural Tension

Current Reality is the beginning place for all GREAT THINGS. It is the place where we now are, but only momentarily.

When you look at an acorn do you see a HUGE Oak tree? I sure do, I have a 100 plus year old massive White Oak in my backyard. It is a daily reminder of how something so small can produce some thing so large.

The question we need to answer is, does the seed/acorn possess the vision/ability to grow or does its Current Reality of being just a seed stifle it?

If you truly allow that question to soak in, think, ponder, meditate and then allow the fruit of the thought be acted upon you will grasp this reality,
WHERE YOU ARE IS NOT, I REPEAT NOT WHO YOU ARE, IT IS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF GREATNESS.

Remember the acorn. How clearly can you see the Oak Tree or your Future?

Creating Your Future begins when we realize that our Current Reality is the first step into the Future we desire and dream about.

I love to back pack and see that which few will ever see. There are hidden treasures awaiting those who will go step by step with an End Result or Destination in mind. I always marvel at how differnt the landscape can be or how fast it can change in an hour. The same determination I have to continue on while hiking to find the hidden treasures is what propels me to stay the course to come to my End Result.

The key to success in any area of life is having the vision and staying the course.

Structural Tension is the energy, the force, the creative flow that is the natural result of first establishing your Current Reality and then moving towards your End Result. each step taken is called an Action Step.

These Action Steps must be accompanied by dates and are more likely to be met when we include accountability. I recently read that 70% of those who had met and maintained desired results in their lives attributed it to having ongoing support or being accountable to an outside source.

Creating Our Futures has become a daily reality in our lives. We not only utilize the Creative Process in our business but in most other areas of our lives. Children absolutely love this and do incredibly well when given the 3 steps of Current Reality, End Result and Structural Tension or Action Steps.
