PineTreez Software
(If you'd like to track where people are coming from that view your lens, check out my Lens on SpideeMail, here.)
Welcome to PineTreez Software. This is a portal to a project I started in early 2007. Here you'll be able to find tips and tricks on report automation for the corporate analyst. If you're a data analyst of some kind, I hope that you'll be able to learn from my experience and share some of yours.
Through this portal you can visit the PineTreez Software web site (found here) where you'll find PineTreez flagship product (an the verge of ALPHA testing) the PineTree Scheduler. PineTree is an office automation scheduler that helps free up your time from running reports manually. In my current job, we use something similar that has saved literally thousands of hours by eliminating repetative manual procedures.
PineTree Scheduler is not the same tool we use. I've taken the time to write a new version in .Net that is more user friendly, flexible and understandable. Try it out (sorry, not quite available - but I'm working hard to get it finished!). Tell us what you think. And please, if you have the time, make suggestions.
The Data Analyst's Blog
Banter by a data analyst (who sometimes is sick of being a data analyst).
For over 10 years now I've been some kind of an analyst. This is my brain dump from the past, present and future. I hope someone somewhere finds something useful here.

- Tux rules! As a developer, you might find that the licensing for the BSDs is more generous. Also, they've recently added PC-BSD, which is the current FreeBSD Stable release with easy set-up extensions.

- Hard to believe that Brooks is still in print. I remember when the first version came out - never mind the 20th anniversary. Fortunately, I never worked on the 360, I started on a 370/135 while a student in DC. So wise then, and so true still today.
