Jesus: Dad or Divine?
Jesus was a mere man - not God. He had a child with Mary Magdalene. Jesus was a Dad - not divine. The church has successfully hidden this truth about him for a long time.
This is the view of Jesus presented in Dan Brown's bestselling fictional novel The Da Vinci Code - but is there fact behind the fiction?
Well, if there is, then Christianity is a lie and following Jesus is a waste of time. Even the Bible itself says that if Jesus is not God's Son, raised from the dead, then faith in him is futile and that "If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men" (1 Corinthians 15:19).
One time atheist and author of the Narnian Chronicles, C.S. Lewis, put it this way in his book Mere Christianity:
"A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things that Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic - on the level with a man who says he is a poached egg - or he would be the devil of hell. You must take your choice. Either this was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us."
So who do you say that Jesus is? Jesus asked this very question of his disciples because people at the time were talking about their different views of who he was. Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God" (Matthew 16:16).
Whether you echo Peter's words or not, it is certainly worth taking a closer look at the life of Jesus. For more information check out the links below.

i don't believe in god i believe in a almighty being something that created every thing
but as for religion what right has one religion got to say that another religion is wrong and it starts so many wars at the end of the day. There is something out there bigger than us all and every body has got there name for it and that's up to them.
so i do thing its good that the film makes people think and ask them self what if and y not does any body really know the true no
sorry if by me saying this has upset any one i don't mean to its just what i believe in

- What most do not realize is that Jesus IS God our Creator AND our Savior! Read what John says about Jesus: "He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not" (John 1:10) and "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made" (John 1:1-3). And the book of Revelation says this about Jesus: ""Worship him that made heaven, and earth" (Revelation 14:7). So the way I see it, those who say that Jesus was just a "Dad" is really saying there is no God. Chew on that!

- I think the DaVinci code is an excellent book and a decent movie. Why people seem to be treating it as fact is beyond me. I honestly think that if your faith is shaken by a movie like this (or any other movie) it says more about your faith than the movie
