An Ode to the 1980's
OK I love the 1980's but I wanted to focus on 1984. To me that is the year the really defines the 80's. It was a little after punk rock and way before hair bands. David Bowie wrote a song a about it, MTV still played videos, Ronald Reagan was President and Sixteen Candles came out. It was also the year that I saw Duran Duran in concert. What more can I say...well a lot, but I will just let you read. Heres my favorite stuff from 1984.

- Band Aid is a British and Irish charity supergroup founded in 1984 by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure in order to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia by releasing a record "Do They Know It's Christmas?" for the Christmas market.
