I am not in to dieting at all, but i am trying different ways of exercising. I don't believe popping pills or taking wierd potions is the rihgt way to go iether. Eat decent meals and exercise regularly works for me. Thanks for the exercises.

There are tons of information out there on dieting.
And that is one of the problems.
How in the world are you supposed to find the right
one?
There is not one diet plan that fits everyone. So, the
trick is to find one that fits YOU.

The Temporary Solution - 12 weeks is not enough
12 weeks is no short amount of time, but I believe that it can still be interpreted as a quick fix. That's just 25% of the year. What are you going to do the other 75% of the time. Most likely get back into your old form and have to go through another 12 transformation program again.
So what's the problem?
Don't they say that it only takes 21 days to form a habit? But habits can be broken and new ones can take their place.
The problem is you are not prepared for what happens after the 3 months is up. You've had a goal to aim for, but now what? There is no target in sight anymore, so you start bouncing all over the place like you were before.
You may say, "Now that I've reached my goal, I just want to maintain it."
What is maintenance? I've seen many guys interpret the word maintenance as an excuse to go out and get drunk and eat like crap. That's not maintenance. That's just going to get you right back to where you were before.
I live by a very powerful quote by the Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly.
He said, "The day that you are satisfied where you are at, is the day you take a step backward."
You always need something to aim for. Yes there are times when you won't need to try to lose weight or gain muscle, but you should have some other goal in mind. Never stay the same. There is too much to learn about your body.
