Work I've Done for Squidoo HQ

After putting together SquidUtils.com, I was asked by Squidoo to help them out and build some modules for them. Here's a list of the ones I have contributed so far:

  • Weather module - get current conditions and forecast for any city in the world.
  • Yelp module - shows a list of businesses close to a Zip code.
  • Zagat module - reviews and ratings of Restaurants within a specified Zip code.
  • Hometown Stats module - shows stats about the population for any American city.
  • Squidaholic - get tons of cool stats about your lens, including traffic, backlinks, diggs and stumbles. See which keywords your lens ranks on Google, and which other keywords would be good to target.
  • Lens Health Check - originally developed on SquidUtils, HQ liked it so much they integrated it into your dashboard.

My Best Lenses

Of all of the lenses I've created, these few are the ones I'm most proud of:

Squidoo Guides and Tools

These lenses contain a few hints, tips and guides to help Lensmasters make the most of their lenses.

I could read this for days on end.....but would never have found it without your Tweet :) From my first few days on Squidoo I learned you were a great resource (from Twitter again) but didn't realize the extent of all you do and give for us. Thank you :)

Hey Fluff, what can I say, other than truly awesome! I have been able to avoid many extended headaches over frustrations from trying to tweak things into the various modules by continuously checking on your numerous lenses and, of course, finding an answer to my issue in one of them. Truly, your work is a great resource and I'm glad it's available to all lensmasters.

Really nice lensography 5*'s. How do you get that thing up that tell you how many lenses you have rated, favourited and created? The one that looks like it does on your profile. Is it a special module or did you make it yourself using html?

Fluff, thanks for the visit to my blog. I ended up making two separate posts about SquidUtils (the toolbar and the workshop tools) - there is so much great stuff on your site. I've emailed my Squidoo Marketing list so they will all be aware of these great tools. You certainly make it easier for Lensmasters - what a great way to put your software engineer skills to use. We are indeed a lucky community.
