The Fly Fishing Guide To Catching The Big One Your Buddy Didn't.

Learn From The Fly Fishing Guide.
I really love fly fishing and try to introduce as many of my friends to the sport as I can. This gives me new fly fishing buddies to share experiences with and for that is part of the experience. But as much fun as fly fishing is I wasn't trained by a fly fishing pro so I usually teach my new fly fishing friends my bad habits. That is where 'The Fly Fishing Guide' comes in.
It's important to me that I kick my fly fishing buddies butts each time we go fly fishing. Of course it is their objective to kick my butt, so any advantage I can get works for me. The Fly Fishing Guide is a huge advantage and maybe I should keep it a secret from them. Ha, they would do it to me in an instant if they could do better than me.
'The Fly Fishing Guide book' supplies all the basic information needed by the beginner, as well as useful tips and resources for the more experienced fly fisherman. Here are just a few of the topics covered in detail by this amazing book:
Fresh Water & Salt Water Fishing - How To Build Your Own Fly Fishing Rod
Organizing a Fly Box - Designing and Building Leaders
Choosing the Right Flies - Fly Fishing Hooks
Choosing the Right Equipment - Fly Fishing Rods
Fly Fishing Reels - Reel Cases - Fly Fishing Lines
Fly Fishing Leaders - Fly Fishing Clothing
Fly Fishing Accessories - Fly Fishing Basics
Casting Instructions - Boats and Floatation Equipment
Fly Tying -The Types and Descriptions of Flies
Tying Materials - Fly Tying Patterns
Common Fishing Knots - Planning Your Fly Fishing Trip
As you can see, "The Fly Fishing Guidebook" covers every aspect of this exciting sport. It explains the basic techniques so that anyone can understand them. But it goes beyond that and shares the subtle tricks and mystical elements that fly fishermen have enjoyed for hundreds of years.
Fly Fishing For Bass With A Buddy From Float Tubes
It is always more fun when you include a friend.
Well fishing season here has been open for 3 weeks and it has been cold, very cold here. I'm thinking spring took a break and went south for a few extra weeks this year. But..... that doesn't stop me from using my fly rod every chance I get.
I like boats and I like wading when fly fishing for trout, salmon, bass or pike and pickerel but my favorite mode of transport for fly fishing in warmer weather is my float tube. The foat tube allows me to get into place you just won't get most boats, or even canoes.
Give me a good pair of chest waders, and a set of flippers for my feet and I will have a great day on the water fishing for anything with fins that swim.
I headed out on Saturday, not too early, as I usually freeze my butt off when I try this too early in the season and I freeze my top half off when it's too early in the morning, so I try to get where I am going early enough but late enough that the sun has had a chance to rise.
I have two float tubes because I really prefer to fish with a friend, it's just a whole lot more fun in my opinion. So I took my good buddy Roland with me. Roland is a friend that begged me to take him fishing and teach him. That was almost 30 years ago and he hasn't looked back.

Fly Fishing Just Looks Relaxing
What beautiful scenery.
It doesn't matter how many times I go fly fishing it's an adventure. Just to be able to leave the fast life of the city and feel the tension and stress blow off as I head to the water hole, where ever that might be.
The fishing is of course why I go fly fishing but sometimes I just have to stop fishing and just take in the scenery around me.
I must admit that sometimes I get a little over focused on the fly fishing and reading the water and forget to look around. Some people never see scenery like I see, in their entire life.
When you are out there take a minute to drink in the view.

Fly Fishing With Big Paw Outfitters
I fly fish a lot in the Renous area of New Brunswick...
Big Paw Outfitters' owner Kevin Caissie has the most excellent location for a hunting and fishing lodge. It is located right on the Renous River. Here is a link to a map on Kevin's Big Paw Outfitters Location.Kevin has invited me to his lodge tis summer and I intend to take Kevin up on his offer as I have not been fly fishing or fishing for that matter, due to heart problems that have kept me close to home for the past three years.
I have to be sure to get a day or so of early season fly fishing for a few spring salmon. Mmmmm
Kevin has come a long way since his dream of being his own boss and owning a fishing lodge began. When I first met Kevin Caissie and created his web site, he had a little cabin in the woods and did guiding for bear and moose from there.
After much work on Kevin's part and his website, of course, he has a lodge that he had built right next to one the best salmon rivers in our province.
I wonder if Kevin will let camp out there all summer. Well he's a great guy and guide but I think there are limits.
Well his lodge is Big Paw Outfitters and it's located in New Brunswick Canada. Take a look at his web site. Big Paw Outfitters

Fly fishing is a passion because it is addictive, but...
... the but is that I don't want to be cured of this addiction to fly fishing. I actually want to infect others and they will do the same.
Well if you enjoy it, let me know, and again thanks for the visit.
