What's so great about the Xbox 360?
Lot's of stuff! There are plenty of great things about the Xbox 360 and here we will discover what they are and why.
I built this lens because my husband and I are fans of the Xbox 360 and before that the Xbox. We like the Xbox 360 because offers such great features and great quality. Microsoft has done a great job at creating a place for gamers to play games with friends and people all over the world, chatting via Xbox, MSN Messanger, headsets while in games and even video chat in and out of games with friends and people all over the world. They also provide movie and game rentals, TV show downloads and so much more.
My goal is to help anyone decide if they want and Xbox 360 or not and/or help anyone new to Xbox 360 navigate their way through all of the great files and options. I hope this helps some of you.
Don't forget to rate my lens by clicking on the stars at the top. And please if you have any comments or question or just wanna say "what's up", sign my guestbook. I would love to know you were here and what your thoughts are. Thanks!!
Contents at a Glance
What is 1st to explore?
Once you have signed in, you will be on the Xbox LIVE page (main page) you will have the ability to update, change and/or view your profile, see what new or going on with xbox with "Inside Xbox". That where they will give you all the cool new updates on games, movies etc. Here you will also find your friends list and any messages you might have, you will also find the chat and IM botton here.
What's in Your Profile?
Here in your profile you page you will find View Games, Edit Profile, View Rep, Game Defaults, Account management and Auto Sign-In.
View Games lets you view all the games you have plays and what your achievement were if any. Each game you play has achievements that you can unlock throughout the game. The achievements also have scores that get added to your gamerscore that you would see on you gamer card.
Edit Profile lets you edit your Gamertag, Gamer Picture, Gamer Zone, Motto, Name, Location, Bio, and Privacy Settings.
View Rep shows you a summary of the people you have played and what percentage preferred you or avoided you. It also shows you a percentage of reasons people chose to avoid you. The great thing about being able to submit reviews about other players and having a rep, it that if you played with someone you thought was disruptive or trashed talked to much or whatever, once you submit a review saying that you avoid them, you are less likely to be matched with them in the future. However, if you preferred someone, you will be more likely matched with that person in the future.
Next Game Defaults establish default settings for a game the first time you play it.
Account management is where you will go to manage all Xbox LIVE memberships, Udate your contact information, Add, change or save your Windows Live ID for messanger, set, change or clear a passcode to protect you account, you will find your download history here, you will also find information about microsoft points for downloads and last you will find Policy Documents (Terms of Use, Privacy Statement, Code of Conduct.)
Finally, Auto Sign-in is where you would go to Enable or Disable auto sign-in for Xbox LIVE and Windows Live Messanger.
Friends and Messages
Back in the Friends list area you have the option to Add Friends to your list right at the top. When you click on it it will take you to your keyboard. When you have entered their gamertag and you have clicked done, it will take you to a page where you can add a voice message with your request or just click Add Recipient. And your done.

Scroll up or down with your left thumb stick and click A to read a message from the sender. Once you have read the message you may choose to reply. From the friends list if you move your left thumb stick to the right, you will find a list of all the people you have played with online and which game you played them in for the last 2 days. It will also tell you if they are online. You will be able to tell if the game controller icon is green, if there is a rounded arrow next to it, they are joinable in a game. So if you played with people you liked or with someone you didn't, you can find them here so you can send messages to them, right a good or bad review or invite them to be your friend.

How this works is when it is on, your Xbox will automatically download any free trial versions of new Xbox LIVE Arcade games when you enter the games library.
