You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch.
The Grinch is a storybook villain who learns the true meaning of Christmas, created by famed illustrator Dr. Seuss. First introduced in the 1957 book How The Grinch Stole Christmas!, the Grinch became a holiday regular after he was brought to life in an animated holiday special in 1966. He came back to tv in 1977 for the Halloween-themed IT'S GRINCH NIGHT (formerly "Halloween is Grinch Night").
Then in 1998, the Grinch was reimagined as a seasonal musical by the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, where it has played every holiday season since. Response was so good, it spawned a live-action movie in 2000 directed by Ron Howard and starring Jim Carrey as the Grinch. The musical was presented on Broadway in 2006 & 2007. Productions for the 2008 season include a touring company that will be in Boston and Baltimore.

You're as cuddly as a cactus, you're as charming as an eel, Mr. Grinch...
The Grinch is a cartoon character created by Dr. Seuss. He first appeared in the 1957 children's book, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!. This was followed in 1966 by a popular television special also titled How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's MGM Animation/Visual Arts studio, and directed by Chuck Jones.
In 1977, Seuss responded to the fan request for more Grinch tales by writing Halloween Is Grinch Night, a Halloween special that aired on CBS. Like its predecessor, the sequel was recognized at the Emmy awards. In 1982, Marvel green-lit The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat, which was also produced by Dr. Seuss, under his real name, Ted Geisel. This third special garnered two Emmy awards.

The bold green headers found on this page and the three quiz responses are taken from the lyrics to "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch," which was sung in the 1966 tv special by famed voice-over actor Thurl Ravenscroft, best-known as the original voice of Tony the Tiger. It was NOT Boris Karloff, he just did the narration. Through an error, Ravescroft's name was left off the credits and for years his work on the show has been mistakenly credited as having been done by Karloff.Buy the MP3 Download of "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch"
