EVALUATION

A high ranking in one or both the questions in group one (1) indicates that you use cigarettes for stimulation or extra energy. You might smoke to help to stay awake or for a boost of energy to complete a task. You may use them when your body says it needs rest, but you have work to accomplish.

A high rating in group two (2) indicates that you use smoking to help you to relax, whether it is physical, mental, or both. You may use cigarettes during breaks at work, after you have completed a difficult job, or when you have that cup of coffee or alcoholic beverage.

High scores in group three (3) indicates that you use smoking to deal with negative effects in your life.

Smoking gives you a lift when you become angry, depressed, tense or anxious.

The questions in group four (4) reflect your psychological dependencies. You are concerned that you will run out of cigarettes before it happens and way before you have any nicotine deprivation.

Group five (5) suggests that you have a chemical dependency. If each of your answers was high in this
group, it means that without an occasional smoke, you begin to experience withdrawal symptoms and
occasionally fell a little uncomfortable.
Group six (6) tells us that you use smoking to have something to do with your hands when you are nervous or uncomfortable, maybe in social situations, or something to do when you are bored.

The different categories of questions in the quiz give a great variety of reasons why people with different needs smoke. Nicotine is an extremely powerful drug! It is more addictive than heroin or cocaine. If you read the papers you know cigarette manufacturers manipulate the amount of nicotine in their cigarettes to provide a consistent flavor and also to insure that you get the same dose with each cigarette you light up.

KNOW THE ENEMY

What makes smoking so habit forming ?
Even if you only smoke a few cigarettes a day, why do you feel so bad when you try to quit?

Nicotine creates a biochemical reaction in your body that has an immediate effect on your mood, your ability to reason, and your metabolism. The more that you smoke, the higher level of chemical dependency will be reached. Light smokers can also become just as dependent on cigarettes because of nicotine's psychological impact. In this way it can affect moods and feelings in certain situations.

Genetic link tied to smoking addiction AP -
By SETH BORENSTEIN, AP Science Writer
Wed Apr 2, 11:05 PM ET

WASHINGTON - Scientists have pinpointed genetic variations that make people more likely to get hooked on cigarettes and more prone to develop lung cancer - a finding that could someday lead to screening tests and customized treatments for smokers trying to kick the habit.

The discovery by three separate teams of scientists makes the strongest case so far for the biological underpinnings of nicotine addiction and sheds more light on how genetics and lifestyle habits join forces to cause cancer.

"This is kind of a double whammy gene," said Christopher Amos, a professor of epidemiology at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and author of one of the studies. "It also makes you more likely to be dependent on smoking and less likely to quit smoking."

A smoker who inherits these genetic variations from both parents has an 80 percent greater chance of lung cancer than a smoker without the variants, the researchers reported. And that same smoker on average lights up two extra cigarettes a day and has a much harder time quitting than smokers who don't have these genetic differences.

The researchers disagreed on whether the variants directly increased the risk of lung cancer or did so indirectly, by causing more smoking.

The three studies, funded by governments in the U.S. and Europe, are being published Thursday in the journals Nature and Nature Genetics.

The scientists studied the genes of more than 35,000 white people of European descent in Europe, Canada and the United States. Blacks and Asians will be studied soon and may yield different results, scientists said.

They aren't quite sure if what they found is a set of variations in one gene or in three closely connected genes.

The gene variations, which govern nicotine receptors on cells, could eventually help explain some of the mysteries of chain smoking, nicotine addiction and lung cancer. These oddities include why there are 90-year-old smokers who don't get cancer and people who light up an occasional cigarette and don't get hooked.

"This is really telling us that the vulnerability to smoking and how much you smoke is clearly biologically based," said psychiatry professor Dr. Laura Bierut of Washington University in St. Louis, a genetics and smoking expert who did not take part in the studies. She praised the research as "very intriguing."

The smoking rate among U.S. adults has dropped from 42 percent in 1965 to less than 21 percent now.

The new studies are surprising in that they point to areas of the genetic code that are not associated with pleasure and the rewards of addiction.

That may help explain why some people can quit and others fail, said Dr. Nora Volkow, director of the National Institute of Drug Abuse in Bethesda, Md., which funded one of the studies.

"It opens our eyes," Volkow said Wednesday. "Not everyone takes drugs for the same reason. Not everyone smokes cigarettes for the same reasons."

One clue is in the location of the just-discovered variants, on the long arm of chromosome 15, Volkow said. It is in an area that, when damaged during tests on animals, makes them depressed and anxious. While some people smoke because it helps them focus or gives them a physiological reward, others do it to stave off depression.

That suggests that adding antidepressants to some smokers' treatment could help them kick the habit.

Bierut said a simple, inexpensive test could be developed to screen people for the variants. Kari Stefansson, lead author of the largest of the three studies, agreed. He is chief executive of deCode Genetics of Iceland, which already does prostate cancer genetic tests.

Such testing could carry risks all its own, bioethicist Arthur Caplan of the University of Pennsylvania warned. People who have been found to have a genetic predisposition to addiction and lung cancer could find it harder to get health or life insurance, or their employer might drop their coverage, he said.

"The good news is that getting these risk estimates will help focus anti-smoking campaigns, and some people will want to voluntarily get into anti-addiction programs early, where they will probably work better," Caplan said in an e-mail. But if such testing is done, it should be voluntary, and the results should be kept private, he said.

Smoking-related diseases worldwide kill about one in 10 adults, according to the World Health Organization.

Among the findings:

%u2022 Smokers who get the set of variants from only one parent see a risk of lung cancer that is about one-third higher than that of people without the variants. They also smoke about one more cigarette a day on average than other smokers. This group makes up about 45 percent of the population studied.

%u2022 Smokers who inherit the variants from both parents have nearly a 1-in-4 chance of developing lung cancer. Their cancer risk is 70 to 80 percent higher than that of smokers without the genetic variants. They smoke on average two extra cigarettes a day. This group accounts for about one in nine people of European descent.

%u2022 Smokers who don't have the variants are still more than 10 times more likely to get lung cancer than nonsmokers. Smokers without the variant have about a 14 percent risk of getting lung cancer. The risk of lung cancer for people who have never smoked is less than 1 percent, said another study author, Paul Brennan of the International Agency for Research on Cancer in Lyon, France.

Brennan and Amos, working on different teams, linked the genetic variation itself - when triggered by smoking - directly to lung cancer. Brennan said the nicotine receptors that the variants act on also can stimulate tumor growth.

But Stefansson said the increased lung cancer risk was indirect - the variants led to more smoking, which led to more cancer.

For Stefansson, the research hits home. His father, a smoker, died of lung cancer. And Stefansson, who doesn't smoke, frequently lectures his 23-year-old daughter "who smokes like a chimney." She acts as if she is immortal and smoking can't kill her, Stefansson said. But his own research shows that her genes are probably stacked against her.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has new powers to crack down on smoking, so there's never been a better time to quit. Even President Obama's been trying to kick the habit. And for good reason: Every year 500,000 people die from tobacco-related illnesses. Here are 12 reasons to stop right now. Plus, are you ready to toss those packs? Find out.. Take the quiz!

FDA regulation of tobacco a step closer

By KEVIN FREKING, Associated Press Writer
Wed Apr 2, 6:07 PM ET

WASHINGTON - Congress on Wednesday moved a step closer to handing the Food and Drug Administration broad new authority to regulate tobacco products, despite concerns voiced by many lawmakers that the agency cannot handle its current workload.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee voted 38-12 for legislation that would allow the FDA to reduce nicotine levels and require larger and more informative health warnings on cigarette packs. A Senate committee has already approved similar legislation.

Energy and Commerce Committee Republicans were divided on the legislation, with 11 voting for it. Those who opposed it said the agency has had enough trouble ensuring the safety of the nation's food supply and medicine.

"This legislation, if it becomes law, would require the FDA to take on a task that is enormous, complex and completely outside its regulatory experience," said Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, the ranking Republican on the committee. "It will almost necessitate a diversion from its core functions."

Barton said the Federal Trade Commission was better suited for the job.

But Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif., said the "unfortunate state of affairs" at the FDA did not mean the agency should ignore the harms of tobacco.

"It simply means that when we give the agency this additional responsibility, we also must give it the resources necessary to handle the job and to handle it well," Waxman said.

To address concerns about resources, the legislation calls for the assessment of user fees on tobacco companies. The assessments could initially generate $90 million this year. By 2018, that amount would increase to $755 million. Aides said the fees would be assessed based on market share.

Health groups have been highly supportive of the legislation.

"This bill will put a stop to decades of Big Tobacco marketing, aimed at addicting each new generation of young people to their deadly products," said Daniel Smith, president of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.

More than 400,000 people die from smoking-related illnesses each year. Rep. Jane Harman, D-Calif., noted that both of her parents died from lung cancer, and she asked lawmakers to consider the financial toll that additional smokers generate when they come down with smoking-related illnesses.

Proponents say various aspects of the legislation would deter people from taking up cigarettes or from using cigarettes that they may view as less dangerous because of their labeling.

The legislation would ban candy-flavored cigarettes, which attract younger smokers. It would also prohibit terms such as "light" or "mild" which many consumers mistakenly believe means the products are safer.

The Bush administration has voiced qualms about giving the agency responsibility for tobacco regulation because some people could get a false sense of security about the safety of tobacco products.

For decades, the FDA said it lacked authority to regulate tobacco so long as cigarette makers did not claim that smoking provided health benefits. In 1996, it reversed course and cited new evidence that the industry intended its products to feed the nicotine habits of the roughly 45 million Americans who smoke.

Tobacco companies sued, and the case eventually landed in the Supreme Court. In 2000, the court ruled 5-4 that Congress did not authorize the FDA to regulate tobacco.

Some smaller tobacco manufacturers endorsed the legislation after it was amended so that they would have more time to meet new testing and reporting requirements.

The National Association of Convenience Stores also said it would no longer oppose the bill, though the trade group stopped short of endorsing it. Lawmakers amended the legislation so that retailers getting orders to stop selling tobacco because they illegally sold tobacco to minors could have the orders modified or terminated if it's determined they took effective steps to prevent such sales.

Also, some lawmakers representing districts with a strong tobacco farming presence voted for the bill after it was amended so that products containing foreign-grown tobacco would have to meet the same standards applied to domestically grown tobacco.

Getting Ready...

When you take on any challenge, a tried and tested plan can be your road map to success. What has helped other people stop smoking? According to the U.S. Public Health Service, studies show that the five steps listed below can help you quit, and stay smoke-free. For best results, use all five

Get Ready

Plan and prepare-that's the first key to quit-smoking success.

Choose a specific quit date-perhaps your birthday or anniversary, or your child's birthday-and mark it on your calendar. If you give yourself at least a month to prepare, you're more likely to succeed than if you decide New Year's Eve to quit the next day. Pick a week when your stress level is likely to be low.

Think about all the ways that quitting smoking will improve your life and your health. Make a list to remind yourself.

Get rid of temptations and reminders of smoking. Throw out all of your cigarettes. Remove ashtrays from your home, car and workplace.

If you've tried to quit before, think about what you learned from those attempts. Are there certain people, places, feelings or activities that encourage you to smoke? Plan to avoid them as much as you can.

You Can Do It
If you take time to prepare and plan and get support from others, you can break free from smoking.

The second key to quitting: don't go it alone. Research shows your odds are better if you get support from others for quitting smoking. 7

Talk to friends, family and coworkers about why you want to quit, and how important it is to you. One way they might help is by writing encouraging notes: "I'm so proud of you for not smoking." "I know you can do it." Post the notes in places you usually smoke-on the coffeemaker, above the TV, on the dashboard of your car.

If they are smokers, ask them not to smoke around you and to keep cigarettes out of sight. If you know successful quitters, ask them for support and tips.

Get expert help. Ask a doctor, nurse, psychologist, or other health professional for advice. Look for quit-smoking programs at local hospitals and health-care centers, or through nonprofit organizations. If counseling is not available where you are, or you prefer not to attend a group, try a telephone quitline or web-based quitting support.

Don't give up giving up

You may not think of quiting smoking as a skill, but in some ways, it's like riding a bike. You figure out how to move forward, keep your balance, and get where you want to go. And if you should fall, you can get up and keep on going.

Learn and Practice New Routines and Behaviors

Plan ways to distract yourself when the urge to smoke strikes: Take a 2-minute walk, call a friend. Use nicotine gum or lozenges.

Have other things nearby that you can hold in your hands (or put in your mouth), like a pen, carrot sticks, or fat-free popcorn.

Look for fun activities that don't include smoking to reward yourself and reduce stress: a hot bath, a walk with a friend.

For more help with changing your routines, go to the My Clear Horizon website's Getting Ready section and click on Try Habit Breaking.

Be Prepared to Manage Withdrawal Symptoms

The first few days after quitting, your throat may feel dry and your cough may get worse. This is actually a good sign; your body is clearing mucous from your airways. You may even feel dizzy from the extra oxygen!

Keep a glass of ice water or juice handy, and stock up on sugarless hard candy or gum to handle cravings for something in your mouth.

In the first week or two, you may have trouble sleeping or be bothered by constipation or gas. Cut out caffeine in the afternoon and evening, and eat more raw fruits and vegetables or high-fiber cereal.

Irritability and tiredness can last for two to four weeks. Don't push yourself too hard at this stage. Take naps if you can. You'll feel better as soon as the nicotine clears from your system and your body adjusts. 8

Cravings for cigarettes are usually the worst during the first two or three days. You can wait out the urge by distracting yourself with something else. You might picture the urge as a big wave; if you can surf along with it and keep your balance, it will ebb away in a few minutes.

Consider taking a class or reading a book about relaxation techniques or meditation. Or just take a ten-minute break: Close your eyes. Check for tense spots from head to toe, and relax those muscles. Now, breathe in and out naturally, and mentally repeat some calming words such as "relax, relax."

You're not alone!

Obama Struggles With Smoking 'Addiction' as He Praises Congress for New Tobacco Regulations
WASHINGTON -- The White House acknowledged Friday President Obama is still struggling to break his smoking addiction even as the president congratulated Congress for passing tough new regulations that puts tobacco under control of the Food and Drug Administration for the first time

For many people, medication can be the key to getting through those first weeks or months without cigarettes.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved seven medications to help smokers quit. Five help you manage withdrawal symptoms and urges by providing small amounts of nicotine. The other two options are the prescription drugs bupropion (Zyban® and Wellbutrin®) and varenicline (Chantix®). Research shows that taking either bupropion or varenicline also helps reduce cravings for cigarettes.

Be sure to speak with your health care provider about how medication can help you in your efforts to quit. Some smoking cessation medications are available at your local pharmacy without a prescription; others must be prescribed by a doctor. (Note: These medications may be available in generic or brand-name form.)

According to the National Institutes of Health, using one of these scientifically-tested treatments could double your chances of quitting smoking. Experts now say that all smokers trying to quit should think about using medication, especially those who smoke ten or more cigarettes a day.

All of these FDA-approved methods have been found to be safe and effective when used as directed. Of course, any medication can cause side effects.

For more information on the side effects or safety of smoking cessation medications, visit the website of the medication's maker or the treatobacco.net website's Safety section .

Before you start, read the instructions carefully. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist, if you have any questions about how to use your medication. It's especially important to talk with your doctor before you use quit-smoking medications-including nonprescription ones-if you are under age 18, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a medical condition. You may be able to use medication (under a doctor's supervision) even if you have a health problem. For example, the patch has been shown to be safe for many people with heart disease.

Most medications are recommended for use for between two to six months. If you feel you need more help to stay quit, you may use medication for a longer time with your doctor's approval.

For more information on how to use medications, go to the My Clear Horizon website's Getting Ready section and click on "If You're Going to Use Nicotine Replacement Therapy or Zyban®."

If you decide to use a medication in your efforts to quit smoking, be sure to read carefully and follow the labeling instructions that come with the medication. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions. These medications can cause side effects. For most people, quitting is not the biggest challenge; it's staying quit.

The final key to successful quitting is being prepared to handle difficult situations and to recover if you slip.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, you are at greatest risk for relapse in the first three months after quitting. Plan ways you can cope when you are around other smokers or in difficult situations where you're tempted to take a puff.

If you used to smoke to handle stress or calm your nerves, it's important to find other ways to do that-because stressful things will always happen sooner or later. Try to integrate stress reduction into your daily life. Some people find it helpful to meditate, to do yoga or tai chi, or to go for a run.

If you do slip and have a smoke, don't beat yourself up, and don't give up. Instead, think of what you can learn from this. Review what led you to smoke. Were you alone, or with others? How were you feeling before and after that cigarette? Did something happen that triggered the slip, such as a stressful time at work or a family fight? Was the trigger a time or place you used to smoke: drinking in a bar, driving in the car, talking on the phone? Plan how you'll avoid or cope with that the next time. Ask for help from friends or experts.

Limit or monitor your use of coffee and alcohol; these trigger the urge to smoke for many people.

Eat healthy foods and get some exercise to manage your weight and moods. Just walking for ten minutes three times a day can do it. 14While some people do gain weight when they quit smoking, research shows that large weight changes are unusual. Using medication also helps limit weight gain. 13

Remind yourself of the benefits of not smoking. Think about smoother skin and healthy lungs. Picture yourself not smoking at important events-your friend's wedding, your family reunion.

The Real Deal about Smoking and WHY You Can Quit Easily Too!

Smoking cigarettes is NOT a natural or pleasurable thing to do. The body rejects it, ie: hack, cough, spit and did someone say, horrible taste? Your body tells you this is really bad stuff! However, I must have said a thousand times, "I enjoy smoking" or "that cigarette will taste good right after dinner", but that was because they (the Tobacco Industry) made me believe smoking cigarettes was a natural and pleasurable thing to do. What I soon learned was that I really love NOT SMOKING! You know, lungs full of clean air, tons more energy, no shortness of breath, nice bright white teeth, increased mental clarity, the amazing taste of foods, a more radiant complexion and increased self-esteem simply because of being victorious in the war of tobacco addiction!

It was your mind that convinced your body to start smoking in the first place so you could look cool/be accepted/whatever reason your mind came up with, and it is only your mind that can convince your body to stop. This IS the focal point of our program and the reason it really works. No other program I am aware of takes your belief system, the most important ingredient in the successful quit smoking equation, into consideration - hence the staggering failure rate of theirs and the 90% success of ours!

Here is something that has got to shock you - nicotine is not what you are mainly addicted to in cigarettes! The tobacco companies and even the government and health care industry would have you believe this is true but there is another ingredient in the highly guarded, patent protected list (imagine that, it's the public's health at stake and this is a trade secret!) among the 1000's of chemicals in each cigarette that really is the one responsible for your addiction - and - the terrible struggle for most people to quit. In our program we reveal this ingredient (it will amaze you!) and more importantly, we teach you how to control and easily counteract your addiction to this substance - a simple and painless thing to do.

While every other quit smoking program is focused on helping you fight off false cravings for nicotine, hundreds of thousands of people who are sincere about quitting are sadly spending millions of dollars buying up expensive pills, patches, inhalers, supplements and gums in a losing battle to save their own lives. Therefore, both the smoking and the quit-smoking (pharmaceutical) industries (did someone say among the largest government lobbies in the U.S.?) are raking in billions and billions!

The main reason people fail to quit (and why it took almost 40 years of smoking for me to learn this) is that from the time we were little children we have been lied to and literally programmed by the powerful tobacco and pharmaceutical industries as well as the media to believe that we are heavily addicted and cannot quit. Between having you keep smoking, and, keep quitting, they have a vested interest in keeping you as a dying, sorry I mean paying, customer. Not a laughing matter at all but I couldn't resist.

Believe me, no matter how strange or "conspirial" the above might seem to you right now, this will ALL make total sense when you experience just how easy it is to quit smoking using The Quit Smoking Right Now Program.

In other words . . . the proof is in the quitting!

If you smoke, or someone you care about still smokes, then this may be the most important letter you will ever read, because . . .

. . . in less than 3 hours You CAN learn how to Quit Smoking - FOR LIFE - from the comfort of your home - without patches, pills and gums, and, *without gaining any weight or suffering a single major craving - Fully Guaranteed by one of the most trusted entrepreneurs on the Internet (and a former 39-year smoker who quit by using this very program)!

Works for ALL tobacco users including smokeless, cigars, pipe etc.!

What would it be worth to you to Take Back Your Life?

What would the freedom of being tobacco-free for the rest of your life be worth to you? Interesting question, considering the claim we make here, don't you agree?

We also researched and found a wide range of prices for stop smoking programs. Many cost thousands of dollars and included 'medicines' such as the patch, pills, inhalers or gums, and/or supplements, all of which are very expensive. You read the approximate costs of some of the quit-industry pharmaceutical products a few minutes ago.

We also had to consider that unlike the corner drug store who would not likely ever refund you hundreds of dollars on empty packages of Nicorettes or a Nicotrol inhaler because you claimed they didn't work, we will refund you every penny you paid us if you don't quit. You will soon read this in our 100% money-back guarantee.

Also, unlike most programs that would not likely continue to support you in your quest to quit smoking for good after you have paid the price and completed the course, we will!

Health Effects of Smoking

Smoking contributes or causes breathing problems, heart disease and cancer.

Cigarette smoke contains thousands of chemicals, and at least 60 of them cause cancer. Smoking is linked to lung cancer, mouth cancer and cancer of the larynx, esophagus, cervix, pancreas, kidney and bladder. Smoking accounts for a third of all cancer deaths in this country and 90 percent of all lung cancers.

In the lungs, smoking destroys the ability of the lungs to clean themselves, making them more susceptible to pneumonia. Smoking causes bronchitis and emphysema, together called chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. By 2020, COPD will be the third leading cause of death worldwide.

Smoking increases the risk for heart disease, the leading cause of death in this country. Smoking causes cholesterol to be deposited in blood vessels, making them narrower. It causes blood to clot more easily. This can lead to blood clots that block the flow of blood or travel to organs such as the lungs or to the brain. Cigarette smoke can damage the heart at much lower levels than those that lead to lung disease.

Smoking affects not only you, the smoker, but also those around you who are exposed to your smoke. Children exposed to secondhand smoke are more likely to have bronchitis, pneumonia and ear infections.

Effects of Smoking on Productivity
Smokers miss more days of work than people who don't smoke, because of tobacco-related health problems. In 1999, the latest year for which statistics are available, for each pack of cigarettes sold, $3.45 was spent on medical care because of smoking and $3.73 went for lost productivity. (That's in addition to the price of the pack itself.)

Smoking - tips on how to quit

Cigarettes - tips on how to quit; Smoking Cessation

Information

Below, some tips to help you quit smoking are listed. First and foremost, set a quit date and quit COMPLETELY on that day. To prepare for that day:

Identify the times you are most likely to smoke. For example, do you tend to smoke when feeling stressed? When you are out at night with friends? While you are drinking coffee? When you are bored? While you are driving?
Keep a diary to help you determine such risky times. Record each time you have a cigarette, including time of day and what you are doing.
Make a plan about what you will do instead of smoking at those times that you are most likely to smoke. For example, drink tea instead of coffee -- tea may not trigger the desire for a cigarette. Or, take a walk when feeling stressed. Remove ashtrays and cigarettes from the car. Place pretzels or hard candies there instead. Pretend-smoke with a straw.
Let all of your friends, family, and co-workers know of your plan to stop smoking and your quit date. Just being aware that they know can be a helpful reminder and motivator.
Prior to your quit date, start reducing your cigarette use, including decreasing the number and strength of the cigarettes. However, DON'T do this simply to make your diary "look good!" Get rid of all of your cigarettes just prior to the quit date and clean out anything that smells like smoke, such as clothes and furniture.
Other tips that can help you quit and stay quit include:

Enroll in a smoking cessation program (hospitals, health departments, community centers, and work sites frequently offer programs).
Ask your health care provider for advice, including whether prescription medications (such as bupropion -- Zyban or Wellbutrin) are safe and appropriate for you.
Find out about nicotine patches, gum, and sprays.
Try hypnosis -- it works for some people.
Avoid smoke-filled settings and situations in which you are more likely to smoke.
Exercise to relieve urges to smoke.
The American Cancer Society is an excellent resource for smokers who are trying to quit, and the Great American Smokeout can serve as a useful catalyst for some smokers.

Zero Smoke

Will wonders never cease...

Okay...we've got patches, gum, lozenges, hypnosis, filters...and now magnets...okay.

I'm laying in the bed about 2:30 a.m. and this infomercial comes on with this:

How It Works

Quit Smoking Without Patches, Pills, or Gum

The magnets should be used from a minimum of 3 hours to a maximum of 4 hours a day.

If possible, use at home or at a time when you are calmest. For example, in the evening after eating until you go to bed.

The magnets are two different sizes. The smaller magnet is placed in front of the ear and the larger behind the ear.

You do NOT make a hole in the ear. The inherent property of the magnets keeps them in place by attraction, and there is no risk of them falling off.

This process is carried out for 6 to 7 days during which you can continue to smoke normally.

On the seventh day, if you have not already done so, stop smoking.

You will find it very easy to stop smoking because the magnets have already induced the production of endorphins that remove the craving to smoke.

Continue to use the magnets for 20 to 25 days and follow the instructions and advice given in the manual QUIT.

After using Zerosmoke®, when you are offered a cigarette, you will be able to give the satisfied reply:

Stomp out the cravings today.

Zerosmoke's auricular therapy uses two biomagnets to create a precise pressure point on the outer ear, which stimulates the production of neurotransmitters in the brain, eliminating the desire to smoke. The 24k gold magnetic casting acts as both a natural conductor and protects against any allergic reactions. Many users completely quit smoking within one week.

You will receive Zerosmoke for a 14 day FREE trial just pay $6.95 s&p included ($16.95 s&p for shipments to Canada and non-continental US). If you are not satisfied you may return Zerosmoke prior to the expiration of the trial period and are under no further obligation. If you decide to keep Zerosmoke you will be billed an additional $39.95 to the credit card you are using today, at the end of the 14 day trial period.

Applicable sales tax will be added for shipments to Florida and Michigan.

Easy Quit System

If you are a smoker who wants to quit, this is the most important message you will ever read!

Are you tired of trying and failing to quit smoking by using bogus pills, sprays, gum or patches?

If you just can't face the anguish of going though yet another quit attempt, you need to try the incredible EasyQuit System!

With the EasyQuit System, 96% of people don't just learn how to stop smoking, they actually learn how to stop ever wanting to smoke ever again!

That is why more than 19 out of every 20 people who use the EasyQuit System to help them quit smoking succeed and become non-smokers!

Dear soon-to-be Ex-Smoker,

Have you tried to quit smoking before? Did you fail to quit just like 19 out of 20 quitters do? Do you just seem to lack the ability or will-power to stop smoking those evil cancer sticks?

Well why not join the thousands of people have already learned how to quit smoking without effort, uncontrollable cravings or will-power, using the amazing EasyQuit System!

My name is Peter Howells and I am the author of the EasyQuit System for quitting smoking. Thank you for taking some time to read what I have to tell you - YOU WILL BE GRATEFUL YOU HAVE!

Firstly, let me ask you; "quitting smoking is difficult right?" WRONG! Quitting smoking is only difficult if you don't know how to do it.

For example, driving a car is only difficult to people who don't know how to do it - but it is only a skill that most adults have to learn. It is the same with quitting smoking, YOU JUST HAVE TO LEARN THE SKILLS NEEDED TO DO IT!

The EasyQuit System is probably the easiest method available to overcome all the problems normally associated with quitting smoking like cravings, weight gain, anxiety, short-temper, hunger and discomfort. The incredible success of the EasyQuit System is because it is so effective at overcoming your desire to smoke.

So, if you want to quit smoking without using "will-power" OR feeling a sense of loss OR hunger OR experiencing any unnecessary stress; then read on because I guarantee the EasyQuit System is the answer that you are looking for.

You were a non-smoker once before and being a non-smoker again will only happen for you if you TAKE ACTION. So go on, ACT RIGHT NOW and read the rest of this important life-saving message.

The EasyQuit System will work for you just as it has for many other. Read some of the testimonials people have sent to me to express their gratitude after being liberated from smoking for ever!

Easy Quit System

With the EasyQuit System, I can help you quit smoking in as little as three hours from now! This solution is guaranteed to show you everything you need to quit smoking without any of the usual hardships. You will not suffer from a sense of loss - you will not miss smoking at all!
You will not suffer from hunger
You will not suffer from uncontrollable eating binges - there will be no weight gain!
You will not need to "motivate" yourself every day
You will not need to prepare a "smokers diary"
You will not have to draw up an action plan or do any preparation work!
You will not have to set a "quit date" to get nervous about!
You will not have to avoid social occassions - I promise you could quit and go to a party straight away!
You will not have to do "breathing exercises" to overcome cravings
You will not have to take any medicines, gums or use any nicotine replacement products
You will not require any so-called "will-power"
You will not have to drink water every 10 minutes to beat cravings!
You will not suffer any axiety when you quit
But most importantly, after you read this book, you really will find it as easy to be a non-smoker in the future as you find it difficult to be a non-smoker right now!

I can honestly say you will find it works like magic!

The EasyQuit System is so incredibly effective becasue it not only teaches you how you can quit smoking, it actually stops you ever wanting to smoke. It turns off your desire to smoke cigarettes! It isn't aversion therapy or hypnotism or 'Neuro-Linguistic Programming'. It is just a series of truths about the psychology of smoking that explain why you smoke and how you can overcome your habit.

Let me outline a few of the things that the EasyQuit System explains to you: I will reveal the single biggest reason why most smokers never quit - and how you can overcome this problem with ease.
I will explain the core reasons why you have always found it so difficult to quit before so you can understand where you have gone wrong in the past.
In the EasyQuit System, I explain how you are addicted to nicotine, a highly addictive drug that has only weak physical and psychological effects on you. I also DEMONSTRATE how this addiction isn't as strong as you and everyone else believe it is.
I will explain to you and show you how to 'think outside the box' - a lot of what you will learn will fly directly against what you think you know and understand about smoking.
I will explain and prove to you that you actually hate smoking and always have!
I will explain why smoking is not a habit as you have always been lead to believe. There is nothing habitual about smoking - it just seems that way because it is misinterpreted!
I will explain which decisions you must make before quitting and which decisions will guarantee failure so you know to avoid them.
I will explain to you in detail, the attitude that you must take on before, during and after smoking the last EVER cigarette of your life. This is not found in most of the public literature available.
I will explain the three pillars of quitting - using these three pillars guarantee that you will never have the desire to smoke another cigarette again.
I will clarify the 22 CORE BELIEFS smokers have as to why they smoke - and blow them away one by one - leaving you with little choice but to become a non-smoker!
I will show you why cutting down or using patches, gum or sprays will virtually guarantee failure and ensure if you do succeed you will never be a happy non smoker!
I will explain why substitution with chewing gum, sweets, food or water just magnifies your desire to smoke, and explain the simplest process for killing cravings dead!
Using the EasyQuit System, you will naturally come to a conclusion that you do not have a desire to smoke any longer.
There will be no effort in not smoking at the end of the course because it will be like stopping doing something you don't like doing! Quitting doesn't get any easier than that!
And after all this - you won't gain a pound in weight!

Just think, If you quit smoking you can start reversing the damage you have done to your body from inhaling that filthy tar laden tobacco smoke.

Smokers who die as a direct result of smoking lose 16 years of life on average. Do you want to be part of those statistics?
Quitting smoking halves your risk of getting lung cancer or heart disease, stoke or chronic lung disease within a few years! After 10 to 15 years, it is the risk of cancer and heart disease drops to the same as a non-smoker.
Statistics show that quitting smoking before the age of 30, negates the effects of smoking on health in later life.
Ex-smokers save thousands of dollars per year (or more if they are from Britain) to spend on holidays and luxuries they otherwise couldn't afford!
Quitting smoking could give you decades longer with friends and family - more time for you to enjoy with them and more time for them to enjoy with you%u2026 the best gift you can ever give to them or yourself surely!
Quitting smoking sets a role model to your children, grand children, friends and family - gaining you respect and filling you with pride.
Quitting smoking will save you thousands of dollars in medical expenses and save you heartache and anguish from not be terminally ill as a result of smoking related illnesses!
Quitting smoking will give you better overall health and a better quality of life. There are positive improvements to health within minutes of quitting smoking and onwards for the rest of your life!
Quitting smoking stops you lining the government and tobacco companies' pockets with your hard earned cash - whilst they KNOWINGLY let you die from terminal illness!
If you smoke 20 cigarettes a day, you waste almost almost 2 hours of your day smoking! That's 14 hours a week - the equivalent of a whole waking day! An 8 day week!

I am sure you know how bad smoking is for you. Smokers are bombarded with 'health advice' all the time and I am not here to berate you or belittle you for smoking cigarettes.

But all this advice on how harmful tobacco is only explains why you should quit. I am here to tell you how you can quit!

I want to help you learn how to go about quitting smoking in a way that is going to make it a genuine possibility for you... and that is what the EasyQuit System does!

When your house is burning down, you call the Fire Department because you need help and they know what to do. Learning how to quit smoking is just a bad as your house being on fire - you're gonna need help from someone who knows just what to do!

Being stubborn about solving a problem and knowing when it is time to get help singles out clever people from the dummies!

Getting help now is the smart thing to do and that is where the EasyQuit System can help you. It is unlike any other quit smoking program available on the internet today - why?

Because the EasyQuit System is INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH

The Tobacco Conspiracy

Why You Have Not Been Able to Quit Smoking

Billions of dollars are at stake. Millions of deaths result. Top corporate executives sit around the boardroom and discuss ways to improve their market share. Their success depends on keeping you smoking and getting people that don't smoke to start. It' s all about the billions.

The tobacco companies have very deep pockets. They have spent billions of dollars in advertising over the years and they know how to keep their customers. They want you to die a smoker. Their bottom line depends on it. And you will if you do not quit.

What if I told you that stopping smoking was easy? That smoking is a body and mind addiction. Yes, body AND mind!

I don't know anyone that actually picks up a cigarette and goes, " mmmmm, tastes great!" Do you? Of course not. Your body rejects it. It coughs, hacks, spits, and does everything that it can to tell you this is bad stuff. You started because your mind was thinking how cool you will be, how much older it will make you look and your body is obeyed. Now you are addicted.

Everyone starts this way. EVERYONE. You had to use your mind to convince your body or you would reject it.

I find it fascinating that almost all methods of quitting smoking do not take into consideration the mind. There are pills and patches and inhalers and gums. All these programs have a very low success rate.

Doesn't it make sense to use the very part of you that started the whole thing - Your mind?? Or course it does.

Everyone starts to smoke for some sort of motivating reason. If I gave you a piece of food that was stinky, burned your throat and made you cough and gag, how many pieces would you eat? I don't think very many. See, it would be unnatural for you to want more.

Smoking is not natural or everyone would be smoking. You cannot grow a cigarette tree in your backyard or a cigarette plant in your garden. They are not natural. Tobacco may be natural but cigarettes are far more than tobacco with an estimated 4000 ingredients added! The list is highly guarded and protected by law as a trade secret. Imagine that. It's the public's health and it's a trade secret. Something isn't right.

But one thing that is right is the decision to quit smoking. Quitting smoking is the one thing that will immediately improve your life and the life of those around you. When a person realizes that quitting IS a Body and Mind process it makes the process much easier.

My progress...

I'm trying not to give up on giving up!

I've lost count of how many times I've tried to quit smoking. I have cut down...and learned alot more about nicotine addiction...But I just can't get past the withdrawal symptoms.
It's like my brain says smoke or I'll make you crazy, and I literally become this raving maniac. Any little thing will make me blow a fuse.
I've been in a Stop Smoking Research program in Milwaukee, sponsored by The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, for a year now.
In this program a computer randomly administered stop smoking aides to all but 13% of the enrollees, they received a placibo...guess who was in that list. Of course...I got the fake medicine...As stated before, I'm weak...I can't do Cold Turkey.

When I think back to college, how we practiced at smoking so we could be cool...how stupid was that!

Since I started doing research on 'Stop Smoking Aides' for this lens I've discovered that there are more aides then I could have ever imagined.
The more I find, the more I want to quit...it's been a week now...so it's working.

Results
On average, my smoking costs are $154.50 per month (30 days) and $1879.75 per year (365 days).

Quit. Quit for your sake not mine or anyone else's.
What do you do when you are driving the bus, I cannot believe that they allow you to smoke...
Give this some thought. Select something that you really like to do, like eat a chocolate ice cream cone.
To begin with promise yourself a reward for going a set period of time with a smoke. Then increase the time.
In my opinion your mind is the solution. Gums and patches are just crutches which substitute one addiction for another especially when the substitution includes nicotine. But whatever works for you is the right solution.
You have made a great choice in quitting. Now stick to your guns!
