Kauai Is a Beautiful, Peaceful Place on Earth
Kauai is known as the Garden Isle, a tropical paradise with clear lagoons, palm trees, and sea breezes.
There's lots to do here. It was the original filming spot for Gilligan's Island and celebrities still like to return to this tranquil oasis, including Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, and Matt Damon to name a few. In fact, there have been more than 60 movies filmed here!
There are miles of peaks, ravines, and waterfalls that cascade down the landscape. Plus, they have some of the most beautiful, white sand beaches in the world.
Aside from the scenic spots covering every inche of the island of Kauai, there are lots of activities for the visitor or resident. Majestic golf courses and a perfect climate make sporting events a pure pleasure.
You won't want to miss nature's display, either, such as the Spouting Horn - a geyser that gushes with every wave. Mother nature painted the Island of Kauai with a broad palette, and you'll find flora and fauna in almost every shade of the rainbow.

"I loved the beautiful scenes, music and narration in this video! It showed me Hawaii's top beaches, the most famous places to surf, the shopping and nightlife, stunning mountains that are over 2 miles high and even where Hawaii's king's ruled. A book only gives you a vague idea of what to see, but after watching this I know exactly where I want to go on each island. "Boy, I wish I had had this guide at the beginning of our recent trip to Kaua'i. It's terrific! We've snorkeled in many of the places described - Ke'e, Tunnels, 'Anini, Po'ipu, Pu'u Poa, Hideaways - and the information jives with what we experienced. However, with this guide in hand we'd have known not just which places to go (other guidebooks steered us there), but more detailed information about the reef formation, currents, and safety aspects of each spot."
