Duran Duran With a Side of New Order
The Killers became very well known after entering the music industry with a bang. Their first hit single, "Somebody Told Me," seemed very comical at first, yet listeners could not get enough of it. After hearing more from The Killers, it was concluded that this new type of indie rock we were hearing is just their style, and anything else from The Killers, just wouldn't seem right.
The Killers debut album, Hot Fuss, has already produced four well known hits in addition to "Somebody Told Me." These other hits are "Mr. Brightside," "All These Things That I've Done," and "Smile Like You Mean It." Look for The Killers follow up album to be released in 2006.(read more)
The Killers- Somebody Told Me
Seventeen tracks and I've had it with this game
I'm breaking my back just to know your name
But heaven ain't close in a place like this
Anything goes but don't blink you might miss
Cause heaven ain't close in a place like this
I said heaven ain't close in a place like this
Bring it back down, bring it back down tonight
Never thought I'd let a rumor ruin my moonlight

Wikipedia
The Killers are a rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2002. The band consists of Brandon Flowers (vocals, keyboards, synths), Dave Keuning (guitar, backing vocals), Mark Stoermer (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums, percussion).
Part of the post-punk revival movement, The Killers draw their influences from music styles of the 1980s. The group's debut album, Hot Fuss (2004) brought the band mainstream success. The Killers' second album, Sams Town, was released in 2006, and the compilation album Sawdust containing B-sides, rarities, and new material, was released in 2007. Their third studio album, Day & Age'', produced by Stuart Price, was released in 2008.
