"Naive" lyrics by The Kooks
Although you could have done moreOh you're so naive yet so
How could this been done
By such a smiling sweetheart.
Ohh and your sweet and pretty face
In such an ugly world
Something so beautiful.
Ohh that every time I look inside
I know, she knows that i'm not fond of asking
True or false, it may be...
Well, she's still out to get me.
And I know, she knows that I'm not fond of asking
True or false, it may be...
She's still out to get me.
I may say it was your fault
Because i know you could have done more
Oh you're so naive yet so
How could this be done
By such a smiling sweetheart.
Ohh and your sweet and pretty face
In such an ugly world
Something so beautiful.
That every time I look inside
I know, she knows that I'm not fond of asking
True or false, it may be...
Well, she's still out to get me.
And I know, she knows that I'm not fond of asking
True or false, it may be...
She's still out to get me.
So how could this be done
By such a smiling sweetheart
You're so naive yet so
You're such an ugly thing
For someone so beautiful
That every time you're on his side
I know, she knows that I'm not fond of asking
True or false, it may be...
Well, she's still out to get me.
And I know, she knows that I'm not fond of asking
True or false, it may be...
She's still out to get me.
Just don't let me down
Just don't let me down
Hold on to your kite
Just don't let me down
Just don't let me down
Hold on to your kite
Just don't let me down
Just don't let me down
Hold on to this kite
Just don't let me down

"She Moves In Her Own Way" lyrics by The Kooks
I was hoping somedayYou'd be on your way to better things
It's not about your makeup
Or how you try to shape up
To these tiresome paper dreams
Paper dreams, honey
So now you pour your heart out
You're telling me you're far out
You're not about to lie down for your cause
But you don't pull my strings
'Cos I'm a better man
Moving on to better things
Well uh oh, oh I love her because she moves in her own way
Well uh oh, oh she came to my show just to hear about my day
And at the show on Tuesday
She was in her mindset
Tempered furs and spangled boots
Looks are deceiving
Make me believe it
And these tiresome paper dreams
Paper dreams, honey
Yeah
So wont you go far
Tell me you're a keeper
Not about to lie down for your cause
And you don't pull my strings
'Cos I'm a better man
Moving on to better things
Well oh oh, oh I love her because she moves in her own way
Well oh oh, oh she came to my show just to hear about my day
Yes our winter storm will never make it
Through all the summers
They're keeping us instead of
Kicking us back
Down through the suburbs
Yes our winter storm will never make it
Through all the summers
They're keeping us instead of
Kicking us back
Down through the suburbs
But uh oh, I love her because she moves in her own way
But uh oh, she came to my show just to hear about my day
But uh oh, oh I love her because she moves in her own way
But uh oh, oh she came to my show just to hear about my day

"Sofa Song" lyrics by The Kooks
I just realized I don't like youMe and my girl
Are going out for some air
And I will do my best
Just to get under her dress
And catch you out if I can
On the other side of my sofa
Won't you come on over
At the side of my sofa
Oh won't you come on over
The city heated it up
It got blurry cause I'd had enough
And he tried to take your soul
But didn't realize you keep it in a different hole
Won't you come on over
At the side of my sofa
Oh won't you come on over
So here he comes, a man with
A loaded gun, I don't know if he
Wants my soul or my
Cash flow, I s'pose I don't know
So here he comes, a man with a
A loaded gun I don't know if he
Wants my girl's heart or her pearls
I s'pose I don't know
I s'pose I don't know
I s'pose I don't know
I s'pose I don't know
I s'pose I don't know

Luke Pritchard
Luke Pritchard (born 2 March 1985) is an English musician. He is currently the lead vocalist and second guitarist of the indie band The Kooks, despite a speech impediment developed as a child.
Pritchard was born in Lewisham, London and grew up in Clapham, London. His father, musician Bob Pritchard, died when Luke was four years old. He attended Northcote Lodge, Bedales School, the Brit School of Performing Arts and Technology, and Brighton Institute of Modern Music, where he formed The Kooks in 2003 along with bandmates Max Rafferty, Hugh Harris, and Paul Garred. He also met his future girlfriend Katie Melua there, about whom Luke Pritchard wrote much of the Kooks' first album. The relationship was often mocked in the media, notably by Simon Amstell on Popworld. The relationship ended in 2005.
Pritchard began his music career in a band called Covernote, along with his close friends Thomas Lightfoot, Brian Slade, and James Dampier and Ed Bartlett playing a number of covers and touring the local music scene of Camden, London. Luke Pritchard has said that he wants to bring music back to the pop world.
Luke usually plays a James Trussart Deluxe Steelcaster. His Acoustic Guitars include a Maton BG808L, A Maton EBG808TE and a Takamine EAN10C
Hugh Harris
Hugh Harris (born c. 1987 as of July 19, 2007 he is 20 years old]) is the lead guitarist/outgoing MC of British rap collective The Kooks. At the moment he tends to play a Gibson ES 335, a Gibson Les Paul Goldtop and a Duesenberg guitar. On stage he usually plays through 4 Hiwatt 2 by 12 combos. He also provides backing vocals for The Kooks. During the late nineties and early millennia he was lead guitarist in the funk outfit known as Soul Solid. Prior to this he played guitar with Three Hoods And A Ginger (of which he was the Ginger, later discredited for unknown reasons), a young Lewes based band, and spent a short period blazing a funkadelic jazz trail with People Like Funk (alongside Duff Paddy, Henners D, Squallie Mobbs and E.B.I), another Lewesian outfit. Hugh met what was to be the Kooks, at Brighton Institute of modern music where he was studying. He is often seen walking through the streets of Brighton, wearing a white blazer and matching hat.
Max Rafferty
Max Rafferty (born 1984, Bridgnorth, Shropshire, England) was the bass guitarist of popular British indie band The Kooks. Prior to joining The Kooks, he lived in Bridgnorth. He attended Bridgnorth Endowed School. He played bass for the funk band Booyaka. He also lived in Milton Keynes and attended Kingsbrook School.
Max officially left the band on 30 January 2008 after long standing rumours and an on-off absence from the band, because of his drug-problems.Kooks bassist quits the band[http://www.gigwise.com/news/42244/drug-problems-behind-departure-of-kooks-bassist GIGWISE, Drug Problems Behind Departure Of Kooks' Bassist] Dan Logan, bassist with Cat the Dog, was brought in as a short-term replacement.

Although the band was formed in Brighton, Garred was born in Seaford. He attended Seaford head community College, where his mother is still a teacher. When he was about 16 years old he was in a local band called Stairwell, who changed their name to Little Help before disbanding. Garred later attended the BRIT School in Croydon and met Luke Pritchard and Hugh Harris. He enrolled at the Brighton Institute of Music where they met Max Rafferty and formed The Kooks.
