Covert Hypnosis

Some political leaders have come under scrutiny for the possible use of a technique that is known as "covert hypnosis". There are many issues with this concept. Among the issues is that the techniques have been around for centuries. This is not a new trend. Many political leaders have used them over the centuries, however, now, the ethics of them are coming into question. Also, there are issues that revolve around covert hypnosis by itself. In order for covert hypnosis, like any form of hypnosis, to work, the person or people being "hypnotized" need to already have a passive desire to do the thing that is asked of them. The part of this controversy that most people are not understanding is that everyone, at some point, uses, or is subject to, covert hypnosis.

Since the beginning of politics, it has been necessary for a leader to convince the people of their will. Julius Caesar was a great orator. He was able to captivate his audiences and keep them listening to him and bending to his will. He was the most successful ruler of Rome for that very reason. He could convince his followers to do anything for him and see things his way. This may have been because of a cunning use of early covert hypnosis. The steps inovert hypnosis involve getting and maintaining a person, or persons, attention. This can be done by talking about something that interests the person or by repetitive speaking. The next step is to build a report with the person. Talk on their level and get to know the person a little and get them to feel comfortable around you. The next step is to put them in a hypnotic trance. This is not very difficult. The average person typically goes into a trance like state several times a day. Using specific words and phrases make it easy. Finally, you will need to give your suggestion. When done correctly, a leader will be able to convince anyone to do anything, as long as it does not conflict with their natural sense of morals. In this way, a person cannot simply "make", or force, another person to do something that he or she feels is morally wrong.

Historically, people in power positions have used these techniques for many centuries. Religious leaders use them to teach their religious points of view. Political leaders use them to convince constituents to vote for their side. Strong speakers all over the world and all throughout history have been using covert hypnosis. Winston Churchill, John F. Kennedy, and even Abraham Lincoln have used the techniques of covert hypnosis.

Politicians and religious leaders are not the only ones that are guilty of using covert hypnosis. Everyone uses these techniques every day. If they are not using them themselves, they are being subjected to the techniques. Stores and shopping channels use the techniques every day. Sales associates in shopping centres, as well as car dealerships, use covert hypnosis as a sales tactic. People also use these techniques in dating. When courting a woman, a man will use the techniques of covert hypnosis to convince a woman that he is the best suitor. It is not uncommon for a person to utilize covert hypnosis in their everyday life. Therefore, it is common practice for political and religious leaders to utilize covert hypnosis in their work.
