This is my take on all things SPIDEY!

This will a lense dedicated entirely to everything Spiderman! It is also dedicated to my son Lucas, who is also all things Spiderman! I do not claim to be an expert on the topic. I may from time to time post something that may be inaccurate, if I do, please forgive me. I mean no harm. I hopefully, am just going to have some fun and do something really cool for my son!

Introducing the Amazing Spiderman!

Half man, half amazing?

A long, long time ago. In a land, far, far away..... ah! I'm just kidding. Stan Lee didn't live that far away. Stanley Martin Leiber, was born Dec 28 1922 in New York City.

Growing up during the Great Depression was no easy task. However, it only served to fuel an already vivid imagination. His best freind was, much to the bewilderment of most other kids his age, his bike. To anyone else, his bike was, well just that, his bike. To Stan however, it was his everything. From a rocketship to his valiant steed where upon he was transformed into a galant knight.

Stans first real industry related job was in 1940 with Timely Publications.(What would later become Marvel Comics). At the age of nineteen, he penned his first script for Captain America #3 .

In 1942 Stan volunteered for the army and served state side until 1945 writing training manuals and films. After which he returned to Timely as it's editor and chief writer.

In 1947, Stan met english celebrity Joan Booncock and they were married later that same year. To date, they have been married for over fifty years.

The following years after thier marriage produced one child, a daughter named Joan Celia in April of 1950.

Spiderman first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962. And the rest, as you will discover, is history.
