The New York Dolls are an American rock band, formed in New York City in 1971. In 2004 the band reformed with three of their original members, two of whom, David Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain, continue on today and have released two records of new material. The original bassist, Arthur Kane died shortly after their first reunion concert.

The New York Dolls Debut
New York Dolls is the first album released by the American rock band the New York Dolls. The album's proto punk sound is mixed with influences of glam rock and rock & roll.
In 2003, the album was ranked number 213 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. The track "Personality Crisis" is ranked #267 on the Rolling Stone magazine's list of "the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time".
