Shirley Partridge (Shirley Jones)
A recent widow and reluctant lead singer, mom Shirley takes her family on tour and somehow manages not to crash the bus.
Shirley Mae Jones (born March 31, 1934) is an American actress and singer. She starred as wholesome characters in a number of well-known musical films, such as Oklahoma!, Carousel, and The Music Man. Ironically, she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for playing a "bad girl" in Elmer Gantry. For younger fans, she is probably best known as Shirley Partridge, the widowed mother of five children in the television series The Partridge Family, co-starring her real-life stepson David Cassidy.
Keith Partridge (David Cassidy)
Keith writes the songs, sings lead, and makes the girls swoon.
David Bruce Cassidy (born April 12, 1950) is an American actor, singer and guitarist, best known for his role as Keith Partridge on The Partridge Family from 1970 to 1974.
Prior to The Partridge Family, Cassidy appeared on Marcus Welby, M.D., The Mod Squad, Bonanza, Adam-12 and Ironside. When he started working on The Partridge Family, nobody knew that he could sing, until Cassidy himself brought it up. He then took over the lead vocals for the show's recordings and quickly became a teen idol. He played Keith Partridge, son of Shirley Partridge, who was played by Shirley Jones, Cassidy's real-life stepmother.
Ten albums by The Partridge Family and several solo albums were produced during the run of the show. At his peak, Cassidy was one of the world's highest paid live entertainers. It would be easy to completely underestimate Cassidy's worldwide popularity at the time. His record sales, while declining somewhat in the USA by 1972, were phenomenal everywhere else. His recordings regularly topped the charts around the world with number 1 singles and albums in the UK, Europe, South Africa, Japan and Australia. His concerts were record setting sellouts playing to capacity crowds of thousands of hysterical teenagers in stadiums around the world including Wembley Stadium (6 sold out shows in one weekend), the Houston Astrodome(where he holds the seating record) and the MCG in Australia.

Danny Partridge (Danny Bonaduce)
Wisecracking 10-year-old Danny played bass, harassed manager Reuben, and managed to sing along to all the songs without ever knowing the words.
Danny Bonaduce, born Dante Daniel Bonaduce, August 13, 1959 in Broomall, Pennsylvania, is an American comedian, actor, radio, and television personality.
The son of veteran TV writer/producer Joseph Bonaduce (Mayberry RFD, One Day At A Time, Good Times), the naturally redheaded Bonaduce gained prominence as a child actor of the 1970s, co-starring as Shirley Partridge's (played by Shirley Jones) wisecracking second son, Danny Partridge, on the sitcom/television series, The Partridge Family. Bonaduce's primary current occupation is co-hosting The Adam Carolla Show. He frequently makes personal appearances in television, radio, and at public events.

Chris Partridge #1 (Jeremy Gelbwaks)
Chris Partridge #1 played drums, fought with Danny, and bit Keith between takes. He was booted from the band at the end of the first season.
Jeremy Gelbwaks (born May 22, 1961 in Los Angeles, California) was a child actor who starred in the television series The Partridge Family from 1970-1971.
Gelbwaks was the first actor to play the role of Chris Partridge. He left the program (and the business) after the first season, and was replaced by Brian Forster in the summer of 1971.
Gelbwaks worked in the computer industry from 1982?1999, studied business at Columbia University, and is now a management consultant. He has appeared in a couple of "Partridge Family" reunions with his TV family, including "Chris #2".
By coincidence, he lived in New Orleans for many years - also the home of Susan Cowsill, the youngest member of The Cowsills, the real-life family band which inspired The Partridge Family.
Chris Partridge #2 (Brian Forster)
Chris Partridge #2 played the drums in the band. Chris #2 was just as cute as #1 and much less likely to bite anyone on set.
Brian Forster (born April 14, 1960) was the second actor to play the role of Chris Partridge in the television series The Partridge Family. He joined the show in 1971, replacing Jeremy Gelbwaks,[http://www.cmongethappy.com/interviews/bf/ C'MonGetHappy.com: An Interview With Brian Forster, Part 1] and continued until the show ended in 1974.The Museum of Broadcast Communications: The Partridge Family As of 2002/2003, he was an race car driver in Northern California, and continued to act in community theater there.[http://www.cmongethappy.com/interviews/bf/bf6.html C'MonGetHappy.com: An Interview With Brian Forster, Pt 6, November 2002 - March 2003]
On one occasion, a fan asked Brian what he thought of the movie Days of Thunder. Forster replied that it was "...very fake and phony." Brian had taken a girlfriend (who also happened to be one of his racing-students) to see the film; she asked him to tap her shoulder every time there was a "flub" on-screen. "She got very little sleep while that picture was running," joked Forster.
Forster is the grandson of actor Alan Napier, who portrayed Alfred the Butler in the Batman series, and the great-great-great grandson of Charles Dickens.[http://www.cmongethappy.com/interviews/bf/ C'MonGetHappy.com: An Interview With Brian Forster, Pt 1, November 2002 - March 2003]
Tracy Partridge (Suzanne Crough)
No singing family would be complete without a tambourine-playing youngest sibling, and Tracy Partridge filled this role perfectly.
Suzanne Crough is a former child actor who starred in the television series The Partridge Family from 1970?1974. She was born on March 6, 1963, in Fullerton, California, the youngest of eight children.
On The Partridge Family, she played Tracy Partridge, the younger daughter who played the tambourine. After The Partridge Family, she made several TV movies and the television program, Mulligans Stew in 1977, she played the niece of the stars, Lawrence Pressman and Elinor Donahue. Her last movie role was in Children of Divorce'' from 1980.
She is a graduate of Pierce College, and until 1993 she owned and operated a bookstore.
Reuben Kincaid (Dave Madden)
Band manager Reuben acts like he hates kids and is tormented by Danny, but when they almost lose him to a new wife, it is clear that he is part of the family.
Dave Madden (December 17, 1931) is a Canadian actor. He was born in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, but was raised in Terre Haute, Indiana, USA. Madden is best known for his role as the titular band's manager, Reuben Kincaid, on The Partridge Family, though he actually rose to fame just prior to that show as a confetti-throwing sad sack on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In from 1968-1969. Dave also made notable guest appearances such as Happy Days, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island and other TV shows. He had a recurring role on Alice as one of the customers. His last guest appearance was on Sabrina, the Teenage Witch where he played Dr. Egglehoffer.
