Gotta Be A Radio Flyer!
I remember when I was a little girl. My brothers and I would go pop bottle hunting. Oh, we were going to be rich! Why, they brought in two cents a bottle.
We would haul our new found wealth in none other than, our worn out "Radio Flyer," wagon.
When my grandson said he wanted a wagon.
I thought, "It's gotta be a Radio Flyer!"
Did you know they have been making them since 1917? Would you like to learn more about one of the most successful wagons ever made?
This site is for all those who have ever had, or are looking to purchase their very first Radio Flyer.

Antonio Pasin
1933 The First Wagon
From Venice, Italy to America, it was 1914. The 16-year-old Antonio Pasin, was just a few years away from making history. He was a talented wood craftsman, determined to have his own business.
He worked every job he could get. Saving his money for the next three years.
By 1917, he had saved enough money to buy woodworking tools. He began making his handcrafted wagons. He took them to local stores in a huge suitcase. There he would assemble them for his prospective buyer.
In 1923, he was successful enough to hire several employees and then formed the Liberty Coaster Wagon Company, named after the statue that had welcomed him to the land of opportunity.
The company was extremely successful, and changed its name to The Liberty Coaster Manufacturing Company, expanding into other childhood vehicles.
By 1925, the Liberty line included wooden scooters and tricycles.
Due to the growing demand of his well-built toys, he realized he was unable to keep up with the orders.
He would need to try something new.
Using the techniques of Henry Ford and the auto industry, Pasin began making metal wagons out of stamped steel in 1927.
Inspired by the new invention of radio and Charles Lindbergh's solo, non-stop flight across the Atlantic that same year. He decided to combine those two marvels.
Pasin named his new metal wagons Radio Flyer.
This one is from 1933,

And the rest is, history.

- Yep, I still use a wagon to move things around, I like pulling them versus pushing a wheelbarrow. Very nice lens!

- Love your lens - high 5 * to you! I've got a Radio Flyer and it's painted PURPLE. I use it for moving groceries from car to house, hauling garden plants around the yard, bringing in firewood and giving the grandkids a ride now and then. This is my 3rd wagon as an adult ... I work 'em hard :-)
