Using Mini sites To Gain An Unfair Advantage Over Your Competition

If you aren't using a mini site to sell, capture or promote, your losing leads and revenue for your online business.

These highly targeted, specialized minisites work wonders when you want to impose your will on your visitor. That may sound like bullying, but if you don't do it, your competition will. The main purpose of creating these result driven mini sites is have your visitors to take the action in which you want them. Take a look an example of a promotional minisite here.

As you can see, the minisite has no links and focuses mainly on promoting these video products in which I am affiliated with. It only allows for two choices for that visitor to perform...exit or click on my promotional link. I explain to my targeted visitor that if the product I am promoting is of interests to you, I offer a list of bonuses that are exclusive to my offer.

This sets you apart from your competition and also brands you as an expert on your particular niche. Other great bonuses that you can use to make your offers standout is to offer a video how to product on how you have personally found success by using this product. You can also email the vendor of that product and try to strike a special and exclusive deal with them by luring them to offer them a better payout on what they receive.

A good choice for doing this is find vendors who are offering their products around the $100 dollar range which offers affiliates 75% if they promote their products. There are tons of these vendors located at clickbank[dot]com
Email them and offer them a 50-50 cut if they can give you an exclusive discounted price in which you can offer that product to you and you only.

The vendor wins as he'll actually collect more money if person buys a product using your link because he only needs to pay you 50% of the purchase price. You certainly win because you get an exclusive price that no one else can offer, while still getting paid a 50% commission for each sale. Of course there are some disadvantages to this as you need the vendor needs to be somewhat trustworthy in that he must pay you manually instead of clickbank paying you automatically. A great place to find these types of offers are at the warrior forum under JV deals. 

Make sure your bonuses are inline with the product that you are promoting. You don't want to offer master resell rights on a product that has to do with alternative medicine if you are promoting an SEO ebook.

How To Make Minisites That Presell 

Providing reviews of products and services has again placed minisites in the spotlight as these are the perfect type of sites to maximize your results. The power of writing a review of a product is compelling to your readers as you really aren't there trying to sell them. The goal of your minisite in this case, is to provide a review of a product or service that your visitor is pondering to buy.

If you can make a your review compelling enough, you might just be able to gain the trust of that visitor and quite possibly have a click through on your affiliate link. So how do you effectively create a minisite that presells your visitor into possibly the product or service in question?

A good way on how to find great reviews, is to go to amazon.com and read reviews that others have left for similar books on your niche topics. Find out what a good review contains. Study the format on how a great review is formed. Of course a good review is one that has plenty of "helpful reviews" and popularity stars next to the review.

Here's some of the points I've studied on amazon on what a good review contains:

1. does the said product deliver. If you are promoting this product, we'll assume that you liked the product and you are writing about those reasons.

2. list the level of skill that is needed to understand or implement for this product

3. list the strong points in a bullet fashion - this allows visitors who scan to pickup on what you are saying quickly. Remember, for the most part, you have a limited time that this visitor will stay on your minisite before moving on.

4. explain specific strategies and tips how this product can be implemented effectively that the author or creator of the product does not mention. Even if the author mentions it, create a step by step guide on how these techniques can be implemented for success using your experience with this product.

5. provide a bonus that no one else can offer - this is the kicker and can ultimately sway your visitor to buy from you using your affiliate link. The bonus should be an e-product and be delivered and downloaded instantly via the internet. Try not to use products that are offered from PLR sites or resale product sites that others can provide also. You want your bonus to be totally unique to you and your offer.

Utilizing The Power Of Video On Your Minisites 

As bandwidth grows and as more people start using high speed internet, videos will become a popular method to creating content on your websites. Using video on minisites can also become a great factor in driving traffic to your minisites. Youtube and other video services are allowing anyone and everyone the ability to upload your home videos to their servers for free. Of course these video hosting sites will get great link backs to others to their sites create mega authority sites in the coming years.

Because video attracts so many people to websites, it is a great strategy to implement one on your minisite or website. Frankly, with minisites they will keep your visitors on there long enhancing your chance of producing the results that you intended your minisite to have. Videos also are becoming extremely viral in that when a great video is discovered on the internet, people tend to tell other people about the site.

Even video that has absolutely nothing about your topic, are being seen all over the place. Marketer's are thinking that even if the video has nothing to do with their particular niche, they'll let the minisite filter out the visitors who are interested in their minisite offers and who aren't. Besides, if people aren't necessarily interested in your niche topic, if the video is viral, you have more chances of picking up a link back because of its popularity.

If you are producing tutorials with Camtasia or other screen capture softwares, you may be able to convert your screen capture videos into an AVI format that is used by video hosting companies such as YouTube and Veoh. So, if creating screen capture videos is something that is of interests to you, instead of converting those videos to its native format of .SWF, convert them to .AVI istead and upload your videos to one of these video hosting sites.

Once the video is accepted, simply take the embedded url html code and copying the code directly onto your website.
