The Public Domain Podcast is essentially a free audio book podcast.
Released weekly, I read pieces chosen from the public domain. Novels, short stories and a few poetry pieces are read unabridged so you can download just the ones you like or follow along as I chose items as a guided tour of both well known authors and lesser known works. My tastes are influenced by my love for good writing, adventure, fantasy, mystery, science fiction and horror.
The website features comments from subscribers and I often take requests. It makes for a fun journey through literature and both readers and myself get to find something new and entertaining.

I've always been a Dickens fan and it's easy to tell that Collins was a comtemporary.
The richness of language and vividness of description is something I've always associated with literature from Dickens' era.
I find that I am also *really* enjoying your reading voice and I'm having no trouble at all keeping track of which character is 'speaking' at any point in the narrative.
I'm going to delve into the archives and load up another book or two for my listening pleasure."

"I loved the Hodgson story. I walk while I'm listening to these stories, and though I enjoyed the Master of the World very much, I was totally rivited by the Monster. I found myself with my hands pressed against my headphones and taking shuffling steps instead of my usual enthusiastic strides. It was wonderful. Thank you so much E and have a lovely Christmas."

"Thank you for the podcasts. My son sent me the link to your podcast. At the beginning of the year I lost a lot of my vision; reading had become very difficult if not impossible at times. Being a bookworm I especially missed my books. My son started scouting out sites where I could listen to books. While my vision has recently improved enough that I can read some I find that I still enjoy listening to fine readers like yourself.
Thank you for a much needed service. Many of us depend on people like you to fulfill our need for literature and the sound of words and ideas and knowledge well written and well read."

"My name is Thomas and I have just discovered the PDP and podcasts in general. In fact I am French, and I was looking for some way to practise English by downloading texts in English and listening them on my way to work. Your PDP project is great for me, and I'm excited at the idea of listening to your recordings. ...
Thanks a lot!! and congratulations for this great work..."

I love listening to audio books. This is the best of the non-professional batch. Audio is clear, reader is articulate.
