The Scuba Island
Before I discuss The Scuba Island, I would like to discuss a little bit about my background...
I originally started diving when I was 17 years old and have been diving ever since. Being someone who loves equipment and the ocean, scuba diving had me from the very beginning. During my certification, I obtained a job at the local dive shop and worked there for over 7 years through high school and college.
Working in the dive shop I had the chance to work with both new divers and seasoned divers on a regular basis. I had the chance to learn a lot about the different questions people had and especially their concerns about gear and where to find information. Being a gear head myself (and also working on just about every piece of equipment available) allowed me to help divers choose the right scuba diving equipment.
I started The Scuba Island in the hopes that I can share some of this knowledge. My goal is to provide helpful information to those planning to get certified, continue their education, purchase equipment, or plan a diving trip.
