Generating Traffic With Squidoo 

Get search engine optimized - that is the simplest answer to the question of how a lens owner in Squidoo will generate and amass huge amounts of traffic. Being net popular and optimized means that the link to a Squiddo page is always at the first page: just type a word and the site is recommended. Hence, the first one to get visited by people searching about an idea found in the lens.

But how exactly will a person's Squidoo end up at the top of the list? Two things: if a site is being regularly updated and being visited by consistent fans, then there's a great chance of landing on the top of the list and generating more traffic. Regular updates attract people: after all, if persons are interested in an idea espoused or supported by a Squidoo lens owner, then they will want to read something new all the time about it. For example, Harry Potter fans generally don't like spoilers - they can read that by themselves! If you are becoming obsessed with Squidoo, no one can blame you. I swear that they are brain washing us or something. The amount of people that come to me and say - 'Hey, I just can't stay off of Squidoo. I want that top 100 spot.'

People are going all out to win a place in the top 100. People are seeing the love that Google has for Squidoo and want to make money using Squidoo, they just don't know how.

Maybe you have managed to get a few cent on the lens itself. That wont let you quit your job though will it? We want to earn loads of money by using Squidoo - the easy way. So how do we start?

Simple, first find something that is HOT right now. It doesn't matter what it is. Perhaps there is some famous sports event in your country right now. Maybe you are a fashion slave and know what the latest must have clothing item is. No matter what it is - find it!

Once you have found it you need to think like someone who wants it. Maybe they don't know they want it yet, even better perhaps they don't know that they NEED it yet. This is the best one. Take the soccer (football) world cup for instance. People can cash in with this easily. You need to let the buyer know they NEED it before they even know it.

How? Through the world cup searches for the games went up by over 3000%. Imagine if you were advertising the games with an affiliate program that offers all satellite TV through your PC. Advertise it using the tags, name the tags and keywords as they games, which teams are playing what?

Granted this would work much better using PPC, it's just an example of what you can do to get people buying what they don't know they need. Grab a HOT product and then find a good affiliate program to go with it. Advertise it using your Squidoo lens and before you know it you are making money using Squidoo.
