The Simple Swing For Golf

Ranked #46,792 in Sports & Recreation, #1,006,513 overall

Put the Word Fun Back in your Golf Game?

A simple golf swing can make your golf game not only fun but frustration free. Sometimes we humans have a tendency to over think the situation. let us face the facts, we see it all the time in football and business. Trying to get everything perfect we make other mistakes that cause us to fail. Take for instance the super Bowl and Mannings interception in the fourth quater. Ask any one and they will tell you more often than not mistakes lead to a loss. A simple swing can help eliminate the mistakes and although you might get a little less distance sometimes, you get the satisfaction that your ball goes straight. no "trouble" with trees and that nasty out of bounds marker.

Focus on Your Swing Path

To free your mind and body it is best to focus on just the swing path. This means forget about your legs and hands for the moment and pay attention just to the swing path. To do this you will need to use some markers or you could even use tee's. The idea is to place three or four tee's is the easiest items to use. Place them firmly in the ground in a straight line. Now stand paralell parralell to these markers you can see where the path of your club head is going. These could be white, red or orange, at least something that stands out. Now you are ready for practice.

Think the Club Face Strikes the Back of the Ball?

Alot of people think that the club face actually strikes the back of the golf ball. in fact a proper swing will hit the golf ball slightly to one side with a slight inside to outside path. Which means it must be iin the middle of this path at impact. now the club must go back to the inside route to the finish.

Golf Swing for the Average Duffer

The key here is to keep the body ready to move but yet relaxed. Forget about tensing up, tightening your grip or your muscles. Remember those days of playing softball. When the ball was hit and you were ready to respond to whatever direction the ball would take so you could catch it. it is the same but in this case your arms or hands or whatever it takes to adjust the swing path to keep it on target.

Body Alignment

To get the desired results your body must be straight up and down and paralell to the ball. you must use the markers in the ground so you can follow the path that the club travels. The clubface should be slightly outside of the first tee that you come to. The clubface should be just very slightly to the top of the tee as it passes over it and then just slightly to the bottom of tee and back to the inside path as it diagonally crosses over the tee. Above all do not fail to finish the swing.
